Publishers Clearing House Collectibles ripoff Sending people items not ordered Saying they'll give you your money back but not following through consumer rip-off fraud Saint Cloud Minnesota
Publishers Clearing House collectibles is guilty of sending people items which they have not ordered along with an invoice. I paid the first three items each time thinking that maybe i had ordered them but realized that when they just kept coming i had never ordered these items - (peace silver dollars with stamps - One set each for 36.97). When i finally realized that i never ordered the products i called and was told to send the peace silver dollars back for a full refund. This has been going on since January 15, 2003 when they recieved (according to my tracking records) the peace silver dollars which i sent them back. However, the zip code they are giving to people is incorrect they are giving for returns a zip code of 56388 but the post office says that is incorrect the item was delivered to 56399 zip code same address wrong zip the company doesn't know its own zip. When called about it they said they never recieved the item but tracking records confirmed that their story was false. i was told to send them copies of my tracking report, which i did. Later, on another call to them - they had input on my account that the item was recieved exactly a month later than post office records. The real let down is that now five times since February i've been told the same thing that my refund check has been put through. (they say it the same way every time) Last time, they said that they would call me 24 to 48 hours after to confirm for me why their records had a smaller credit than the records i recieved directly from them of what they should owe me. It's true that their roof collapsed and they had to move to another building but this doesn't change the fact that they told me 5 times that they put my refund through. Today, April 25, 2003 they said the same thing and that if nothing happened within a few weeks I must call again what ever happened to the honest buisness man? Lorie Dacula, Georgia
