Puppies N Stuff DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS - THEY SELL SICK PUPPIES AND DO NOT SUPPORT CLIENTS Northglenn Colorado
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Puppies N’ Stuff sold me a dog that has parvo and the company has been very short with me and unsupportive.
Purchased the dog for about $600 on a Tuesday. According to my contract, I took him to one of her recommended vets within 5 days for an initial checkup. Roundworms found and medication given.
The following Tuesday, he was rushed to my personal vet for excessive vomiting and diarrhea as well as inability to eat or drink. Diagnosed with parvo and told to stay for a week.
According to my contract, if a puppy was diagnosed with parvo or some select other conditions within 10 days of purchase, we were required a full refund for the dog. Upon going to the store and sharing my woes, the owner responded with, “I highly doubt he has parvo, are you sure?” She also said that there was nothing she could do since we did not take him to HER suggested vet. Nowhere in the contract does it say that. She said she would not cover fees at my vet and if I wanted anything from her, I must send him to her vet.
Transferred our dog to her vet after paying around $500 out of pocket at ours. He was doing slightly better. Her vet acknowledged that they have had multiple parvo cases from her store recently. Her vet sent my dog home the next day saying he was fine and that they would charge her. I was extremely hesitant to take him home and even called my vet to see if this seemed reasonable. They were hesitant but said to try it out.
The next night we had to rush him to the emergency vet for the same symptoms – note that the number we called was for her vet and the emergency vet answered so we assumed it was the same organization. Since the emergency vet is closed during the day, they had us transfer him to her vet the next morning. Out of pocket for the emergency vet: $700. Her vet scolded us for not putting him on a special diet or keeping him calm while he healed – neither directions were given to us upon pick up. Again, they told us he was fine, sent him home, and charged her.
Out of request from the emergency vet, we took him back there for the night to watch and help him. Approximate cost: $700-1700 out of pocket
She has broken her own contract and has fought us and been rude. We also have not received ANY paperwork on our dog as she promised would be mailed.
Many of her dogs are sick and she refuses to do anything about it. How can she stay in business with such terrible business ethic? How can she sleep at night knowing she is allowing so many living things to suffer? How is she allowed to knowingly put people in extreme debt when they don’t follow her unwritten contract?
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS.
