My odessy with "Pure Herbal & Pure Acai" started when this company billed my debit card $82.31 for what my wife ordered on May 16, 2009. Some weeks later, I saw that my bank account was not quite right; something was funny. When I went to my bank, they printed out my transaction record for the previous two months. There, I discovered that "Pure Herbal & Pure Acai" (supposedly operating from Vancouver, Canada) illegally charged my debit card for $82.31 twice on May 16, 2009 (a total of $164.62) for that single order my wife made on that day (May 16) and twice AGAIN on June 18, 2009 (another $164.62). An initial order of $82.31 has now transmuted to $329.24 total! There was no arrangement/agreement with "Pure Herbal & Pure Acai" to bill my account automtically. When I called from the bank (using the bank employee's phone), a guy with an accent said that "Pure Herbal & Pure Acai" has "manually" credited my account with $164.32 and that my bank should wait for a few weeks and "retrieve" the amount and credit my account. Since then I have made several calls from home and from my bank including the following and the persons I spoke with--all of them have similar Indian/Pakistani accent:  October 5 "Victor"-- repeats the same directive that I should go to my bank to "retrieve" the amount; October 9   "Victor" the same response "go to the bank and "retrieve" your money"; October 15, (from office of the bank employee and this time, it's another one with similar accent who calls himself "Mike". "Mike" told me and the bank employee that he'll send information about the transaction via e-mail within 24 hours. I gave him my e-mail address; October 19 , "Mike" "I will resend the e-mail"; October 20, "Kyle" "the supervisor will call you back"; October 21, "Nick Watson" "The supervisor will call you back"; October 22, "Chris Matthews","Send us an e-mail and he gave me their e-mail address as [email protected]. I called the following day (October 23), and "Andy Jones" was the one who answered the phone this time. He advised me to call from the bank so the "Supervisor" can speak to me and the bank official. Here is their response dated October 24, to my e-mail on October 22:"Thank you for inquiry with Cleanse Prox. We have processed the refund for 2 charges of $82.31 back to your account on 8/17/2009. If the refund is not showing in your account, we recommend you contact your bank to follow up if necessary and have your bank resolve any further issues you may have in receiving your refund. If you have further questions, please call us at 1-800-529-3082. Thank you again. Regards, Customer Service." I refuse to give up and will continue bugging them with phone calls until I get some justice. The "refund" of $164.32 "Pure Herbal & Acai" claims to have sent to my bank is not even the correct amount they are owing me. The actual amount is $246.93 and I will call them relentlessly and maybe someone reading this or some government agency would help to disable "Pure Herbal & Acai" from preying at innocent Americans.
