Direct Data Services and Qire strongly refute any allegations that we are involved in spamming or any email scams, or that we are nothing more than a rented UPS box'. We are a reputable established company with offices in Liverpool (UK). We have never done any business with Javelin Marketing or MacAdam Magazine Marketing and were unaware of their existence until the Rip-off Report article appeared. We are also unaware of a company called Direct Media. We do not, and have never, employed either directly or indirectly anyone named Kevin Daniel. The report in RoR appears to be based on a Jan 1 article on Directmag quoting Scott MacAdam where no mention is made of Qire or Direct Data Services, and Kevin Daniel is clearly stated to be a representative of Sales Universe. Direct Data Services does provide email appending services, but all addresses supplied to our clients are fully opted-in and all bounces are removed. We do not market our service in the USA. We have, in the past, obtained email addresses from both Six Channels and Email Appenders, but stopped using them some time ago. There may have been some confusion between Qire' and Acquire Lists' a company which we believe has connections with India. We applaud your campaign to get rid of the rip-off merchants in the online marketing business, but suggest that unfounded and unchecked allegations simply damage those companies that trade honestly and bring your publication into disrepute.
