On June 2nd 2012, I ran across a site selling Speedy PC Pro, a program which purports to fix computer issues such as viruses, spyware, etc. Purchasing said software entailed a call to their center, whereupon I was told that "no software would fix my problem" & that what I needed was "professional technical help". The individual on the phone then read off a list of 3 such services, the most expensive of which was the one recommended. This service, I was told was %100 guaranteed. I later found out that Qresolve & Speedy PC are branches of the same company.
I allowed them to access my computer to fix it, but while some problems were better, others were worse, plus new problems had appeared. I called them the next night & they played around with my computer for several hours, after which the "technician" claimed he was done & everything was fixed. It was not. In fact, once again, some things were better, others were worse. I called them again & after 5 or 6 hours of playing around, the "tecnician" had not fixed a couple of problems which he said that he would research & call back in 2 days to take care of the problems. He did not.
I called them a few days later to try once again to resolve the problem. After this session, my computer was worse off than when they started. I called them to ask about a refund, since they had not only not done any good, they royally messed things up.
After a prolonged runaround by some "supervisor", I was told that a "resolution specialist" would call in 24-48 hours. Five days later I got a call from a Mittin Somi, which lead to another prolonged discussion during which I was informed that there was in fact no quarentee whatsoever & that if I wanted a refund on the original $407.99 that I paid them that they were going to charge me $79.99 per session but he would be generous to me & only charge for 3 sessions. He even went so far as to accuse me of going into my computer & messing things up so I could get a refund.
After a great deal of argument I finally got him down to charging me $79.99 for one session & $50.00 for another, a deal that I would have to accept or get nothing at all. "It is only fair" insisted the disgustingly smug Mr. Somi.
Interestingly enough, when I informed Mr. Somi that I intended to report my experiences with he & his to all & sundry who might be interested, he expressed contempt for that statement, saying it didn't matter to him what I did.
In the end I am stuck for $129.99 for them to destroy my computer plus $39.94 for the utterly worthless Speedy PC Pro. My computer will not perform any command requiring an EXE & programs can't be loaded or deleted/uninstalled because I now get "fatal error" or "windows does not recognise the program" if I try.
I will now have to get a new computer because this one is so damaged by whatever was done to it by these totally incompetent & uncaring individiuals. Whatever they did made things much worse & they are getting worse all the time. When I get my new computer I will probably take this one out into my back yard & put bullet in it to put the poor thing out of it's misery.
