I had  1 bedroom & hallway done on 5/5/2012 by QUALITY PLUS CARPET & ULPHOSTERY.I found a coupon in the Money Pages for $25 2 rooms & free hall.Upon inspection of the room I was quoted $170 for the pet odor & warranty.The coupon was useless because they didn't honor  their advertised price. Due to financial difficulties I settled for $140 with no warranty.My bedroom smelled fresh for only 1 day.

However,on 5/6/2012 the carpet had a pungent smell.It had an extremely sour odor!I was told to wait 3 days to see how it goes and I called them on 5/9/2012 expressing that I'm dissatisfied & the stench was actually even worst than before.Also, the technicians left a trail of black marks on my 15 steps carpeted stairway. I scheduled for 5/14/2012 as follow up carpet treatment.I mentioned to Tony that I am not going to pay additional money and I just want them to fix the problem.

We agreed on 5-6pm but he arrived late at 6:45pm and just came in to assess the carpet.He told me I need to pay additional $30 to cover warranty,his effort to carry the machine & gas.I emailed the owner,Brian Smith on 5/14/2012 explaining my dissatisfaction.This owner never responded to my email.On 5/17/2012 Ashley returned my phone call & said that the owner received my email but since I dont have a warranty they are not going to fix the problem unless I pay additional $30.

The services rendered didnt meet my  expectations and  instead of being apologetic or offering a solution Ashley was rude to me. The price quotes on their companys website & coupons are inaccurate. They entice you with low prices and when they get to your house the price increases drastically! The next time you clean the carpet to get rid of pet smells you should probably have the padding replaced as well.

You can shampoo to your hearts content but once the urine or whatever cause of the odor has sunk into the pad any cleaning you do will be wasted.

There are quite a few carpet cleaning companies who will be glad to pull up the carpet and replace the pad for you. Also it is a good thing to get something to clean the baseboard or concrete underneath the carpet since sometimes urine seeps through and can still be smelled by the cat or dog even though you can't smell it.

Also save yourself the headache and never use a coupon or special offer unless it is a discount off of their work. The coupon offers are just a tease to get you to call. Of course they will gladly honor the coupon but that is usually just a splash and dash and you are better off just going to the store and renting the equipment to clean the carpet yourself.
