we signed up for Quest bundle package 110$ per month for high speed internet direct tv and unlimited phone service. First they put phone and internet on one account and direct tv on another charged us 110$ a week later sent another bill for 150$ after we called and complained said they couldnt change it for that month but would extend our package deal one month and they would put everything on one account so we would get bundle deal. Next month we got 2 bills again after an hour on the phone being transfered from dept to dept finally billing said they would fix it. Next month got bill for 150$ called quest again said that we had to pay for a partial month for start up even tho this was 3rd month in billing and that we had changed what we ordered finally they agreed to credit account and charged us 130$ still more then origianlly agreed upon. 3 months later got call from collection agency for quest/direct tv. When i called, quest said our account was current and sometime their computers send out bills before the payment gets put on account not to worry about it. The next month same thing happened called quest again, they said same thing. Finally the third month I insisted they look further to see whats going on and after 2 hours on the phone, they found that when they closed the extra account they left an amount on that account and that I had to pay it and then we would be ok. Things went ok for awhile then they raised our bill to 180$ saying our bundle package was over already. So we told them to cancel account we would go to mediacom for alot less they then offered to lower the bill for a few months to match mediacom's offer. I cotacted mediacom and they offered to pay the early disconnect fee up to 300$ so when quest billing went up again i switched and told quest to end our account and called direct tv also to make sure they didn't end one and not the other. direct tv informed me there would be an early dissconnect fee and was under 300$ so mediacom paid it. 2 months later quest sent me a bill for over $150 saying i closed the direct tv account but then it goes to a stand alone internet account and if i cancelled it there was an early dissconect fee for it also and that was an additional 180$ on top of the $150 owed for last months internet service. I told them i called and cancelled both accounts and they said they had no record of me doing this. When i asked if account was bundeled and I called to close my account why they didn't they said it was company policy. After agruing with them and being shuffled from dept to dept finally this guy said he would stop the billing and close account but i woulkd have to pay early closing fee. I called mediacom and they agreed to pay the difference from what was left of the 300$ early disconnect which would leave me owing 30$, but would need statment from quest that this was a fee for early disconnect. When i called quest back and informed them they said i would have to pay that and 150$ again wanting 330$ total. I had to argue about the last months billing all over again and an hour later they said if i paid the final amount they would close the account and i would be paid up in full. I was so frustrated and tired of it all I paid it. They never sent me a statement saying it was for early disconnect so media com wouldn't pay anymore. 7 months later guess what? I got a call from a collections agent wanting more money for quest /direct tv. I refused to pay and he told me they would keep calling me until I do. Monday I get to call quest and go thru this all over again. I don't Know if I have the strength to do this again and if I pay them this time how do I know they won't just wait a few months and do it again. I'm angry, Im frustrated and I'm scared we might need credit in the future and not be able to get it if I stick up for myself.Some one please, please help. I don't want to get out of anything I owe but I should be all paid up and then some!
