It is indeed a sleazy outfit. They are operating just barely within the law.
First of all it is not an auction by any stretch of the imagination. When was the last time to went to an auction, made bids on an item, did not get the item and had to pay anyway. They would be out of business in a heart beat because no one would be dumb enough to return. Yet, there are many people who will do just that.
To make it even worse, they are not even authorized dealers for the products you get even if you pay the ridiculously high 'buy it now' price so you will not get warranty support of anything else from the manufacturer. Their purchase prices are far above street prices.
It's a brilliant scam from their point of view but it's a pure and unadulterated ripoff of their customers. They are taking full advantage of naive people who do not pay attention to the details.
Not illegal (so far) but please don't insult us by claiming to be ethical.

You see how they are? If you get sick like I did you loose your bids that you paid for in as little as a month to six months time. Then they confiscate they with no regret. It in their rules. They show you what the low bidders win to fake you out at what a great deal your going to get. I hope this will inspire others to write their own rip off stories as these cheats as QuiBids have stolen thousands and thousands of dollars from their clients. They excuse it away of course with their lame 101 deal.
You Quibids are charlatans, liars, and deceivers. You can excuse yourselves from all responsibility od deceitfulness and lies all you want. You still stole $100.00 from me and I don't want to see others become victims of scams like yours. This is not an auction, this is a scam in it's purist form. May you all at QuiBids live in your own personal HELL of your own making.
People, just look at at the postings on FaceBook, Ripoffs, ect. For your own proof something is teribly wrong here. You have been warned. I am not stupid, retarded, or slow. In fact I am a successful businessman and I am pissed that these people are allowed to rip you and me off in this manner. Quibids is pure poison. It will cost you alot of money for for thinking you can get a good deal on something you would be better off buying yourself somewhere else.
Therebare others like the Quibids assholes. Beware. Be safe. Let others know how bad it is. You notice she basically said it was okay to steal my bids. You will be sorry if you play their game. Ripoff 101: don't waste your money on scams like QuiBids.

I am an employee with QuiBids and would like the chance to address some of your concerns. I do certainly see how your negative experience has frustrated you. QuiBids works very hard to make information available to our customers before even one bid is purchased and used to participate in auction. We try to make our site as transparent as possible. For this reason we created the "QuiBids 101" section of the website which thoroughly describes our business model; and what we would consider to be realistic expectations for our customers to have, as well as the amount of profit / loss the company actually makes with this business model.
We also place a disclaimer in each Voucher Bid auction that these are not applicable towards the Buy Now and do not carry the same $0.60 value as real bids purchased in Bid Packs.
All bids do have an expiration date attached to them which is clearly visible in the Bid Credit History section under your My QuiBids page. Bid expiration is also clearly discussed in our terms and conditions
"Bids are a limited license to participate in QuiBids auctions and have no monetary value. You may not obtain any money in exchange for Bids; however, QuiBids has a limited return policy with respect to purchased Bid Packs. For one year after purchasing a Bid Pack, You have the right to a full refund for the purchase price of the unused bids remaining in
the Bid Pack. Voucher and Free Bids are not eligible for a refund. To the extent there are unused Bids in Your account, and there has been no activity for two years, You will be charged an inactivity fee of five (5) Bids per month for each inactive Bid Pack. All Bids expire after three years of inactivity. Once we delete Bids we will not reinstate them, except at our discretion."
I do apologize if you feel you were not dealt with in accordance with our site terms. If you like, feel free to forward any questions to [email protected]
