Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

It seems that this is a national scam that represents itself as a local locksmith in many parts of the country. If you look up "24 hour locksmith" on line in your area, these guys will likely pop up near the top of the list.

To get my mother into her house after hours after she had locked herself out, they quoted $19 for the call and $35 for the repair, same as shows on their web site. Of course the $35 is followed by an asterisk which, if you go down and read the fine print, reveals that $35 is actually the least they will charge you.

My wife called them on the phone, she did not visit the web site, and they quoted her the $19 + $35 fee with no qualifications or mention of possible extra fees. When the locksmith showed up, he tried to jack up the price to above $150 due to the specific type of lock. There is nothing exotic about the lock on my mother's door. My wife, who was there, just told the guy to get lost. Apparently we fared better than many people who have dealt with this "company", whose locksmiths harrassed the customer and would not go away. Please see other Ripoff reports about them.

We then called an actual local locksmith, who came out and politely and professionally did the whole job for $40. It was Tod's Lock & Key in Sandy, Utah, highly recommended! These guys try to look like a friendly local company on the web, but it actually seems to be a national "operation" to take advantage of people in a tight spot. Stay away!
