Quijano & Associates Attorneys At Law A story of Carlos Pretto and a law firm that REFUSES to refund my deposit RIPOFF Panama
On 7/13/2005 I was in Panama and met with CARLOS PRETTO of Quijano & Associates.
I gave him $500 as a deposit on a $900 corporation setup fee.
Several weeks later I contacted Carlos and asked for my $500 back since I had no more need for the corporation.
At this time they refuse to refund my $500. Very professional.

You should post more facts about the case becauses it is impossible to determine if you have been ripped off. After all, you should pay for the attorney's time for services rendered before the time that you decided you no longer need the corporation. When I form a new business for a client, i move fairly quickly by reserving the corporate name, drafting the articles of incorporation and ordering the corporate. These things take time and money. If had started work for a client and the client then cancelled, I would expect to be compensated for my services up to that point.
