I was also ripped off by Real Movers during a cross-country move that began late May 2011.  My story is very similar to the other accounts on this website.  The salesman, Patrick, promised that our goods would be delivered in 3-5 days at the time of booking.  Patrick is an excellent salesman.  Hes very reassuring and convincing that this company is legitimate.  Patrick said he was able to offer us such a good deal since he had another truck headed to the same location.

After most of our belongings were loaded on the rental truck our originally quoted price doubled.  Our projected delivery date came and passed with no word from anyone at Real Movers.  Multiple phone calls went unanswered.  Finally, I was able to arrange delivery of our goods three weeks later but had to pay an additional $475 "guaranteed delivery fee."  Two of our boxes were never delivered and a small piece of furniture suffered a broken leg.

At the time I booked the move I attempted to research the company but didnt come up with any red flags by searching for the name Real Movers.  As it turns out, the company had only recently changed its name to Real Movers.  They were formerly known as Real Van lines and there were many complaints posted about them. Real Movers has also been known as Bravo Movers, Radio City Movers, Moving on Time, and Easy Relocation.  Horror stories have been posted about each of these companies.  Unfortunately, theres no telling what their name will be next month or how many people they will scam using their new name.

Overall, Im just grateful that I eventually got most of my belongings back after sleeping on the floor for weeks even though I paid an exorbitant cost and had to endure the stress of attempting to communicate with this company.  My heart goes out to everyone else that has been scammed by these criminals.

Heres some information on the people that seem to be employed by Real Movers in case it helps any pending investigations:
The salesman Patrick has been known as Patrick Greene
Louie in customer service is also known as Yair Knafo, AKA Louie Benton
Alex the dispatcher is Alex Breslav Fainstein, AKA Alex Mijia
