From personal experience, we want to save you the headache of hiring Dr. Rebecca E. Thompson, PsyD.(aka Rebecca E. Thompson, PsyD. aka Neuropsychologist Rebecca E. Thompson, PsyD.) of Napa, California for the purpose of producting a psychological evaluation for your work, for court-related requirements, or for personal use.
To be sure, she's very good during the interview process. But don't expect to get the work for which you'll prepay her thousands of dollars in a timely fashion. Multiple clients report that Dr. Thompson is chaotic in her scheduling, makes frequent excuses when you inquire on her progress, takes more than a year to deliver results even if the results amount to only a 20 hours of research, and will financially retaliate if you try to fire her.
Her excuses, which are frequently presented by her Admin who runs interference, range from "working on it" to "personal issues" to...well, the list goes on and on. During one client's experience, she went through three Admins in less than 20 months. That says a lot. She may be good at research, but she's horrible at execution, delivery, and scheduling. Not worth the several thousand dollars you'll pay to obtain her evaluations.
