Recovery Performance Capital Group Mattia & Associates Company collected money for an account they did not own El Cajon California
This company collected money for a collection account they did not own. They did not refund the money collected from the consumer until they got caught and then sued by the owner of the account ! (See lawsuit at http://public-access.riverside.courts.ca.gov/OpenAccess/Civil/CivilCaseReport.asp?CourtCode=A&RivInd=RIV&CaseType=RIC&CaseNumber=1311786 (Riverside County Superior Court, Richard Germann v. Baker; Recovery Performance Capital Group, case no. RIC 1311786).
Recovery Performance Capital Group just "incorporated" in July 2013. Be extremely careful when dealing with this company. Always ask for proof that they own the account before paying them a dime ! They are associated with George Mattia and Mattia & Associates who are notorious for unscrupulous collection activity who have been sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars in various states.. (See United States District Court - New Jersey case no. 2:13-cv-01392 Vanz, LLC v. Mattia & Associates, George Mattia.) They have put the consumer in jeopardy of having to pay twice for the same collection account.

I do not know how they answered the phone,but a legit company gave me their number??...this guy so tried taking thousands of dollars from me....I HOPE PEOPLE READ THIS AND DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF....
