I am also having the same problem regarding Regional Acceptance adding their own insurance, even though I have maintained full coverage insurance since I bought my car. I have tried to explain this problem to the company, I have sent them my insurance policy information, however they continue to bill me extra money for not being insured. I've talked to several different people within the company including supervisors. When I purchased my car, my payments were set at $399.00 per month, and now they are expecting me to pay close to $45.00 more because they added their own insurance (without justification). I have recieved numerous phone calls (almost everyday for the last 3 months) from different people in the the company, some who said they will take care of this matter, and others who are saying they will reposes my vehicle if I do not pay the extra charge of the insurance they added.

I still keep recieving letters every month in the mail stating I am in default with them because of the extra money I have refused to pay the extra money (for their insurance) which they are trying to in a sense extort me for. I explained this matter a few days ago to the dealership from whom I purchased my car from, and they said they are in the process of trying to resolve this matter for me. All I am asking the dealership to do is to have Regional Acceptance stop calling and harassing me, and keep my payments at the agreed price of $399.00 a month, the last thing I want is this to show up on my credit report. I haven't had a response through the dealership yet, but I will keep others posted as to what happens. If I have to, I will have no choice but to file a complaint through court, and persue legal actions. If anyone can share the same story with me or give me advice on how to battle these people, I would greatly appreciate it. They are trying to rip people off and more of us need to step up and complain so that this company's unfair and dishonest practices can be stopped. P.S. get this: when I purchased my car I was able to drive off without even having to show proof of insurance!
