Completely FALSE! This company has taken my $1500 and took it upon themselves to repack mine and my mom's items using more and more packing materials to raise the price by the minute. Our items were packed and ready to be loaded. Whatever boxes they were in is how we wanted them moved. They literally repacked EVERYTHING! Which took them 3 hours to load up my ONE bedroom apt. Okay that's one loveseat, 2 twin beds (one being just a mattress and frame, the other being a boxspring, mattress and frame, 2 small dressers, 15 blue medium bins, 2 27" TV's, one large mirror, one 13" tv, one microwave, one refrigerator, one microwave stand, 2 VERY light bookshelves, 2 coffee tables, a TV stand which was made out of pressed wood 3x2x2 and a corner desk made out of pressed wood and I'd say about 30 very small boxes 18" x 6" x 12". - You tell me how in the world this weighs 4000lbs? Yes everyone that's all they have of mine. I'd be surprised if these items came out to be 1500 let alone the 2500 that I originally received my quote for my one bedroom apt alone. You'll see as I list the items out that we had to leave half of this list behind due to the fact that they had another family's belongings on the truck and my mom's stuff wouldn't fit and may I remind you that NO Heavy FURNITURE was included!! When I gave Vicki the list of items for my mothers apt here are the items that I gave her to add: 1 sm triangle corner end table (which we had to leave behind), 1 oak couch table (which we had to leave behind), 1 side by side fridge (which we had to leave behind), 1 small stand up freezer 5' x 3' x 3', 1 - 4 x 4 kitchen table with 2 chairs and a leaf (which we had to leave behind), 10 med boxes, (We ended up having about 20 - 20"x18"x12" medium boxes), 1 corner glass and wood computer desk (which we had to leave behind), 4 med size blue tote bins 3'x2'x3', 30 small boxes 18"x6"x12", 4 small pressed wood cabinets (which we had to leave behind), 1 gas bbq (which we had to leave behind), 1 lounge chair (which we had to leave behind), 1 small glass table (which we had to leave behind), 1 sewing machine desk - which was heavy (I'd say it weighed a good 100 lbs alone, it's an antique my Gma left us), 1 32" TV, 1 TV stand with glass doors 4' x 3' x 3.5', 1 toilet shelf (which we left behind), 1 shower shelf (which we had to leave behind), 1 queen bed with mattress, boxspring, metal head and foot board and the frame (which the movers BROKE while taking my mom's bed apart!), 2 beach cruisers (regular adult size), 2 table lamps (which we ended up taking in our car) NOW - You tell me how all of these items weighed 6040 lbs!!!!! This was the exact list I gave to vicki when I called to include my mothers items. If you weighed the truck right after you left my mother's, then you weighed the truck with the other family's belongings on the truck and there's NO WAY my items are 6040 lbs! This company is completely insane and LIARS! I want my MONEY BACK as your movers wasted ALOT of time repacking my items and my mom's items for NO reason! They were packed and ready to go as they were! The rescission estimate was done after all of mine and my mom's items were loaded on the truck and I noticed when I was reviewing the document that Boris had marked the boxes above my signature as though I marked
them, I would NEVER have marked those boxes because it was 1 am when we were sitting on my mother's living room floor finishing the paperwork and Boris verbally stated that the estimate is NOT the final pricing and that weigh tickets will be presented to me and I'd be receiving a call
on Mon or Tuesday of the following week. I have several witnesses that will testify to this in court as well that the revised estimate was NOT signed by myself or Boris until AFTER everything was loaded onto the truck. Being that it was 1 am and my mother and I were very tired, the last thing the movers knew we wanted to do was to read FINE PRINT on your documentation. Well guess what?! I remember those two boxes being blank and they're checked now? How did that happen? This company makes me sick! How are you going to take advantage of a single mother and her mother like this? How do you expect me to come and get my items when I PAID YOU to deliver my items to me in West Linn Oregon?? You have all my money!!! You're clearly incompetent and you clearly can't add. COMMON SENSE will tell you that all of these items won't even add up to 4000 lbs that I asked to be quoted! I KNEW my items were not heavy as you see I don't even have that much!! My sister who did this move has 1800 sq ft of furniture and even HER items didn't weigh 6000 lbs. WHERE'S MY PROOF?? As I requested via email today - provide me with the weight ticket of the Budget Rental Truck with the other family's belongings on it before you reached my apt, provide me with the weight ticket of the truck after you left my mom's (in which as stated above, would've INCLUDED the other FAMILY's belongings!) Then I want you to provide me with a weight ticket for MINE AND MY MOTHERS ITEMS ALONE! Is your company seriously that hard up for cash that they have to swindle and lie to their customers? I told you via email and on the phone that I will expose you and show EVERYONE the REAL TRUTH about LOW COST MOVING and here it is in black and white! Read it and weep!

Job # L581381
This l is in response to Jennifer Russell claim.
costumer were initially contacted by our company offering our complete moving services
from CA to OR. costumer insisted to get a quote for 4000 lbs and to have both of her pick ups together and not separate. costumer were notified over the phone that according to the itemized list, costumer provided to vicki your approx weight would be 5900 lbs. !
costumer insisted over and over to have a 4000 lbs estimate sent to her. Thus, we did!
On moving day, when the driver arrived he had informed costumer prior to loading that she may have more then her estimated weight ! the driver informed her that she may have approx. 7000lbs.
also he gave her a revised estimate in person and prior to loading for the total move cost !!! At that point costumer called to the office and spoke with Ryan our office manager, and costumer were suggested to leave the unneeded items behind in order to keep the moving cost the same as the quote costumer received from vicki. Our moving crew spent until 1:30am loading costumer and her moms home. The truck was weighed right after at 6040lbs from a certified public weigh station. costumer total move cost including packing materials, which costumer approved, total move cost $3956.00. You made a $150 deposit to reserve a moving date and space on the trucks. costumer made a payment of $1365 on the day of the move, which leaves a balance of $2441.00 upon delivery.
When costumer were contacted and informed about the weight and the remaining balance, costumer completely seemed to forget the whole agreement in general.
in our company we thing the right way we keep 99% of our costumers happy and satisfied.
costumer was notified that move will cost more then the estimate prior to loading.
we have singed contract by costumer agreeing to the change in the estimate.
resolution :
we are willing to disregard the remaining balance due of $2441.00 if costumer will pick up her shipment from our storage. the payments she made so far was $1356.00 we will use that money to cover all labor, truck, diesel, packing materials, weight tickets, etc. and will not be refundable.
we are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused to the costumer by our company, but at the same time we cannot do this move for the price she was quoted, as she change the entire structure of work and add more and more items.

Thank you for your comments and help. I've contacted the police and just as the last comment mentioned, they are unable to help me due to the fact that it is a civil matter. I have however contacted my Lawyer and moverescue and are hoping to resolve this quickly. I'm sure you'll agree that this is very stressful and disturbing how a company can take advantage of people like this, it's unbelievable. =0( It's companies like these that give the reputable, hard-working, honest companies a bad rap. Thank you for your help! I appreciate your feedback and help!

You can call the police, but the only thing they'll do is make sure you pay the mover what he demands. See, if the mover has your items, and you don't pay, the police consider the matter a civil matter and generally leave because it's not theft. If you don't pay, they know the mover has your items, and so do you, so your situation isn't theft. What's more is that the mover will show a contract in which you gave the mover permission to take your items. Theft...no. I have seen this happen far more than I should and consider the local police to be useless in such a situation.
I would get in contact with the folks at www dot moverescue dot com. I don't know if this mover is part of the AMSA but if they are, they can probably help you. I don't know if they'll be able to help you out with the money end of it, but you can at least (possibly) get your stuff back so you can u-haul the stuff to your destination. Better to get your stuff back to you than actually using them to really move you.
Best of luck to you...

THAT should end the problem of the Moving Company's theft.
