Richis the own Renners auto sales and Mallview towing he demanded $450 plus tax for a 3 mile tow. I had a 2000 Duango .The state maximum is $88 plus $4.75 a mile after two miles (unconsentual tow) its on the ctdmv website.. He aslo tried to keep my car in his storage so he can charge storage fees. After talking to him the first time he would not pick up my phone calls.
I tried calling him countless times the second I called from a different number he picked right up. I went down there with my 70 year old handicapped father inlaw and Rich was yelling at the top of his lungs at him for no reason at all. His unwarranted disrepecting behavior was like nothing I have ever seen in my life. There was absolutely no reason for him to act so horrible. I dont know why he still has a connecticut state tow contract.

Let's see 600 times $88 is a little over $52,000...umm a far cry from $450 wouldn't you say?
Now it does appear that you got the rates for the base tow correctly. However, if additional services are required such as winching those are in accordance with their hourly labor rates.
Unfortunatly you left out quite a few details. Such as why was your car towed? How long was it in storage? Then of course why would you bring your 70 Year old disabled father in law along to get the car back?
By the way what did the State say when you filed a complaint?
