Reno Mazda Kia Dolans Mazda, Reno's Dolan's Mazda "Negative Equity" to trade in their Lemon! Reno Nevada
We bought a Nissan Quest from them which turned out to be unfixable shortly after we bought it. The car would slow down to like 5 miles an hour out of the blue. It was obviously not safe to drive. And then after youparked it, it would not start again! The warranty company would not pay for anymore repairs, and the Nissan dealer refused to fix it.
Since the problem could not be fixed, it was obviously deemed a lemon. Lemon law in Nevada states that if the problem cannot be corrected after 4 visits, the car is deemed a lemon and the consumer is entitled to a refund or new comparble car that actaully works. However, our only other vehicle had no roof, and they took advantage of this, because winter as coming.
We only had this unfixable car for 8 weeks, and they charged us $4500 in "negative equity" to trade the lemon back into them for another comparable car (that ran properly). I felt terrible about it, wanted to file legal action, but we had no other car with a roof to drive in meantime, so we were stuck.
If it weren't for them taking advantage of us like that, our note would be almost paid by now. Instead, I will be making an extra $4500 in payments for the lemon they sold us. I don't know why they think I would actaully ever buy a car from them again after this horrible experience!!

While you didn't specifically state if you purchased this Used, since you are talking about dealing with a Warranty Company and not the Manufacturer one can only figure that this is the case.
Where if this is the case then I have some bad news for you...the Lemon Laws do NOT apply to USED cars. Yes, in looking at the Nevada laws(google is great) it appears that it doesn't specifically eliminate Used cars, but only apply for 1 year after delivery to the ORIGINAL buyer.
As to the Warranty company. They can't just decide one day to no longer cover the repairs. If the repair is covered in their terms then they would most likely be legally required to cover the repairs. Where if they don't they are the ones you could actually turn around and sue. The same thing applies to Nissan, IF the vehicle is under warranty and the repair is a covered item they again can not choose to not repair it.
