I happened across this web site again in searching another subject.
Bruce these are the facts...
Neither me or my company have ever been sued. You claim it is a matter of public record, attach the docket. That will end this lie you told, because it never happen.
You worked for an owner Operator named Bobby Leach. He was not employed by my company, he was a contractor with 3 trucks and trailers leased to me. You were hired by him, paid by him and fired by him. I only got involved when you asked my assistance and as explained earlier helped you to collect the $400.00 dollars he owed you. I told you I would not get involved again between the two of you. It was your decision to remain a driver for Bobby. If you were stung by him it was of your own hand.
You picketed my largest account and were escorted off the property by security.
You quit without saying a word to me. You took a hot expedited load on Friday and hid it in the Picketville Road Truck Stop. At no time up to your leaving did you ever tell me Bobby owed you money. You left and played hide and seek with your load.
I was not named in your law suit or I would have been served and I would have defended both my company and my good name. Instead I understood you brought a small claim action against Bobby to which you lost. (according to Bobby) I was not involved with it. At no point after you quit without notice did I seek revenge or seek you out. I simply chose to move on.
What was placed in your DAC file was both accurate and true. You did work for Bobby a while but I do not remember how long. You did leave a load stranded and you did quit without notice. needless to say under no circumstances would you be eligible for rehire.
Without a doubt up to your meltdown you were a fine driver and I enjoyed your tales of the road. I remember telling both you and your wife many times that you were one of the nicest people I had the privilege to dispatch. I often asked if you were an axe murderer in hiding from Canada because you were a joy to be around.
I am not sure what triggered your meltdown but did not enjoy witnessing it first hand. Your allegations against me and my company are without substance. I had hoped in time you would come to realize your misstatements, allegations and rage were mis directed at the wrong person. If you were taken advantage of by Bobby Leach, an Owner Operator, leased to my company, then it was then and now between the two of you.
I am glad to see that another Owner Operator rebutted your false statements against my character, my company and my good name.

I was employed by Rich for several years during the end of the '90s. I could not disagree more with this fellow saying these things about him. I don't know anything about the other guy, but the Rich Madsen I knew was a good, spiritual, caring man. I had a serious accident during my employment there, and he stuck up for me, and gave me a place to live for a month - all while I was unable to drive due to broken legs. I started in '97, and stayed till around '01. The good freight had left and I had family issues to work on, so we parted ways. I probably stayed longer than I should have - regarding freight - Any Owner/operator that has been around will tell you that the good paying freight will come and go, and if you want to stay making money, you have to follow the freight, especially in automotive. Rich and his office help were such good folks to work for, that I had a hard time going somewhere else, having had bad experiences elsewhere. My checks were always on time, always right. He never cheated me, and I never cheated him. He understood if I had problems, and needed time off. Fair, honest - a family man. He was a good man, and I was proud to work for him, and if I were still a driver, would go back there in a heart beat. It is easy to tell one side of a story, spouting mean words, but I'd more than bet there are extenuating circumstances here that are not being told. I'd bet money that you didn't get paid, and got a bad DAC because you weren't were you were supposed to be, when you were supposed to be there. Expedited means expedited, and there is no room for slackers.

Okay Rich you liar and thief, how is it that you think your not responsible for the placement of false information placed on my DAC report? Your nothing but a lowlife crook! The figures you state $400.00 should be $3700.00. You state I'm a loose cannon!! Again spewing lies to protect your criminal enterprise.! Why don't you put in your rebutal how long I worked for the two of you crooks? I trusted you and Leach and gave you every chance to make things right, over and over you showed your true colors, CON - ARTISTS. Why don't you mention about when I supeonaed you to court you never showed up, you have perverted the legal system to your benefit as AGAIN the crooks that know how to navigate the legal system for their benefit have done. Well to BAD, RICH MADSEN I will never retract my claim that you are a liar and a thief. You cannot be trusted! You and Bobby Leach JR. are the worst kind of thieves on this planet, Ripping Off workers who have done work that you have been paid for yet won't pay your employees and then as all truckdrivers know, are subjected to threats of placement of FALSE DAC information when they try to get the money owed. I have the Dac report of the false information that B+R express entered. Your d**n lucky that I never hauled your a*s into court for the lies you placed in my Dac report. I didn't have any problem finding work with a HONEST trucking company who paid their employees on time, and never had a problem getting the mileages or the paperwork right, something the two of you crooks could never do. FYI: Anybody that is considering any offer of employment or any thing to do with B+R Express should run as fast as they can away from Rich Madsen or Robert Leach Jr. as they will convolute any information to make it seem like the worker is the BAD GUY when in reality, they screw you out of your paycheck like a bunch of ripoff artists. I never wrecked any equipment, while I workered for you, but all your other driver's smashed all the trucks up, and you used my wages to pay for their mistakes. HOW IS THAT FAIR. Anybody reading this report can also go to Jacksonville Court House and research Robert/Bobby Leach Jr. and find that the judge has rendered his verdict which has not been paid even to this date. So you can see for yourself that it was not $400. It was a hell of alot more and has never been paid in full. Just another case of the crooks that take advantage of people that put their trust in someone else, and then get screwed. Simply put B+R EXPRESS, Rich Madsen, Bobby Leach Jr. should receive the award for RIPOFF EMPLOYER ARTISTS OF THE YEAR.

Bruce was a licensed driver that came to me through an owner operator that was leased to B&R Express. Bobby Leach did not pay him on time and he came to me for help. I talked with Bobby who immediately paid Bruce most of the money (about 400.00 dollars) I then explained to Bruce that if he continued to drive for Bobby after this I would not and could not get involved with his handling of the situation. Bobby employed Bruce! I leased Bobby's truck. That was as far as the relationship between us went. About a month went by and Bruce hid his load from us and did not call in. We had no idea where he was and the shipper was all upset as it was printed and dated material that Bruce chose to hide from dispatch. We had no idea what had happen to him. One of my contacts in town spotted the unit parked at a gas station in Jacksonville. It had to be re powered and delivered 8 days later than it was scheduled. Bruce never asked me to help him collect from Bobby after the first time. I did not know here was a problem until the incident happened. Bruce went on and threatened one of my shippers with a boycott if he wasn't paid. Bobby claimed the truck was destroyed and he stole the radio! This guy is a loose cannon and does not belong behind the wheel of a semi. Too much anger. I never knew why he hated me or blamed me fo any of his misgivings. I did not introduce him to the owner operator and he did not work directly for me. I just kept him rolling from point A to point B. He should have been a happy camper. The problem began and ended with his own bad descions and he blamed everyone around him for his woes. I have not seen him since. I just happen to come across this report and thought it deserved a rebuttal.
