Richard "Chase" Langley was hired using the site uship.com to pick up my Great Dane in Oklahoma and was to deliver her to me in Alabama. He only made it 100 miles from the breeder when he pulled over on the side of the interstate and the dog got away from him. The stories he told me as well as the breeder were different so I am not 100% sure of what actually happened but what I do know is that he lost a very expensive part of my future breeding program. After the first few calls to him and after giving it a week making calls and placing ads for a lost dog
I finally decided (even though I am still actively searching for her) to tell him to file a claim since he's supposed to carry insurance. I expected he would be an honest individual and make a claim for her through his insurance, but he will not accept my calls nor answer my e-mails. The dog cost me $2500 and he was just careless and now I am just out?? This transporter generally does a lot of business with automobiles, and if he's not willing to take care of what he was responsible for in my case, I don't think it wise to ship your expensive vehicle with him! If he got hit... looks like there is a good chance he has no insurance. I am about to attempt small claims court, so we will see how that goes.
I guess at least if it were a car it wouldn't have to be lost, hurt, starving, or dead somewhere. It just makes me sick that he cared so little for her well-being.
