Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Securus technologies uses a staffing agency called MMC GROUP, located at 105 Decker Court, Irving, TX, 972-893-0100,  to staff their call center operations at 3000 Kellway Drive in Carrollton, TX, 972-277-0310.  The starting pay is  $10.00 an hour but MMC Group slipped a clause in the paperwork that gives them the right to take "additional" earnings from already very low wage employees. Securus has been a bystander while MMC Group takes so much additional monies from individuals who chose to leave because of RECRUITER LIES that people are having their wages reduced to the FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE when they end their assignment. Securus Technologies makes $100 Million to $500 Million Per Year and they are allowing these sleazy lowball tactics.   The majority of these low wage workers are poor people who are DESPERATE TO WORK. The paperwork is given to them and they are RUSHED through it. Given mere MINUTES to read and sign over a dozen forms!

Let me be clear. The additional money being taken is over and above the contracted fee paid by Securus. I liken it to WAGE THEFT. There really is no reason for it. People are driving 30 to 60 miles each way to work to suddenly have an emergency and have the company use that to enrich themselves off of their gain?!?

Wasn't it bad enough to threaten us after we complained about being DUPED by MMC GROUP recruiters? To tell us we couldn't miss a day even if we "had a heart attack, were in a car accident, were admitted into the hospital or had a sick child"?!?!

Even after we brought our concerns to Securus HR she LAUGHED and said "oh yeah the recruiters embellished the job details" and then "well that's what recruiters are suppose to do".

Did you know Mr. Smith that MMC GROUP were SUED in a Federal Texas Court for KEEPING WAGES OF EMPLOYEES and they SETTLED?

WHY IS SECURUS DOING BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY THAT OBVIOUSLY STIFFS THEIR OWN WORKERS?

AND WHY IS SECURUS LOOKING THE OTHER WAY?

WHILE WE FIGHT FOR OUR WAGES??

EVEN WHEN ROBBIN SCHMITT THE HEAD OF HR REACHED OUT TO MMC, MMC REFUSED TO SPEAK WITH ME.

PLEASE TELL MMC GROUP TO STOP TAKING OUR WAGES!

MMC GROUP FEDERAL LAWSUIT OVER STEALING WAGES - BELOW

The lawsuit alleges that MMC Group violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay time-and-a-half overtime to its employees who worked on projects supporting the FDIC with bank closings and other services.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 27, 2012

On August 21, 2012, a former asset servicing professional for MMC Group, LP filed a proposed collective action lawsuit in Texas federal court, alleging that the professional staffing provider unlawfully failed to pay her proper overtime wages.

The lawsuit alleges that MMC Group violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay time-and-a-half overtime to its employees who worked on projects supporting the FDIC with bank closings and other services. According to the Complaint, MMC Group paid these employees on an hourly basis, but violated the law by paying them only “straight time” for their overtime rather than the required time and a half.

MMC Group, which is headquartered in Irving, Texas, provides professional and workforce management services and solutions to public and private organizations throughout the country. According to the Complaint, the company contracted with the FDIC to perform bank closings and receivership assistance services for failing financial institutions nationwide. Also named as defendants in the Complaint are two of MMC Group’s affiliate companies, C.D. Mitchell & Company and Mir Mitchell & Company.

Andrew Chase, who represents the plaintiff, stated, “The law is straightforward: employees who are paid by the hour must also be paid time and a half for all overtime hours worked. The defendants paid their employees an hourly rate, but did not pay them the legally-required time and a half for their overtime. The employees in this case worked long hours, and we intend to recover all the unpaid overtime wages they are owed.”

The plaintiff is represented by Paul J. Lukas and Andrew G. Chase from Nichols Kaster, PLLP in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The case was filed in federal court in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and is titled Lyons v. MMC Group, LP et al., Court File No. 4:12-cv-02506.

Additional information about this case can be found at nka.com or by contacting Nichols Kaster, PLLP, toll-free at(877) 448-0492.

IF THERE WAS NO MERIT TO THIS LAWSUIT AND NO PROOF OF WRONGDOING "WHY DID MMC GROUP SETTLE"?

MR. RICHARD SMITH PLEASE TELL MMC GROUP TO PAY ME ALL OF MY WAGES!
