Complaint Review: rick hendricks chevrolet - Buford Georgia

I bought a car from rick hendricks chevrolet about a year ago.

I wanted the basic model 2013 sonic and they didn't have it. They had a model one class higher with all kinds of things I didn't want for $7000 more than I wanted to pay. After going back and forth with them, I agreed to purchase the car when the salesman told me 2 years of free maintenance.

This dealership has since gone back on that deal, saying they meant 6 free oil changes. I did not agree to 6 free oil changes for an additional $7,000 dollars. It should have been free routine maintenance.

I called them up and complained, and they then told me they would give me an additional 2 years of free oil changes. I am VERY unhappy about this, but I accepted the offer. The lady told me I may need to sign paperwork and if so, they would contact me.

This was a month ago. I had not been contacted nor have I received any vouchers for free oil changes. I should also say that someone named Alexis had originally left a voicemail saying she had good news. Since that day, I have never been able to reach her. Everyone answered the phone knowing it was me saying she wasn't around. I'm thinking this is because whatever she was going to offer they decided against.

I HAVE RECORDED THE PHONE CONVERSATION with them saying I would get 2 ADDITIONAL YEARS of free oil changes.

Today, this dealership called me again.  Now the dealership wants to give me 6 oil changes to satisfy my complaint at the BBB, which will last me ONE year.  I fail to see how this provides oil changes for 2 years.  I average 30,000 miles a year, and I told this dealership that from the beginning - to which they said was fine.

6 oil changes * 5,000 miles = 30,000 miles those oil changes will last me - approx. one year of driving

How ignorant do you have to be to realize that 6 oil changes is NOT 2 years worth of oil changes for me?  The lady did not say 6 additional oil changes - she said an ADDITIONAL 2 YEARS of oil changes.  Listen to the recorded audio conversation at the link provided earlier in this message (and again for convenience: http://www.sleign.net/complaint/rick_hendricks.mp3 )

This dealership is shotty to say the least.

They need to give me two oil change cards and stop being so cheap.  This dealership has already screwed me out of $7,000 and now they are trying to screw me out of a FULL YEARS worth of oil changes AFTER they said they would give me 2 ADDITIONAL YEARS of oil changes.

I don't know how much more I can break this down, so I'll make my last attempt at breaking it down so a little child can understand this:

6 oil changes = 30,000 miles

I drive 30,000 miles a year

This means one year of oil changes

12 oil changes = 60,000 miles

I drive 60,000 miles a year on average

This means two years of oil changes

The lady said 2 ADDITIONAL YEARS OF OIL CHANGES
