Rick Shields ,Whole House Improvements I paid Rick Shields $11,245 to build custom cupboards and drawers for my kitchen. I then paid him another $4500 for work to be done in Bathroom/Entryway. Colorado
I paid Rick Shields to date $15,745. to remodel my kitchen, with custom cabinets, and future labor costs for remodel on my bathroom and entryway. He never completed the kitchen cabinets/drawers and no hardware.
The first interruption came when he had another job remodeling a bathroom which took a month and then when I called him he said he needed to do jobs that paid him money. I already paid him everything for his job, MY MISTAKE!
He was having all kinds of personal problems hence my trust in "charging" money for future work. He is a slick talker and engages you in conversations that are personal, not professional generating sympathy for his problems.
He has since moved and disconnected his phone so I am in the process of attaining information of his whereabouts. I have a civil suit against him but cannot serve him papers to date.
Beware of his abilities. He is not a quality carpenter and sells himself as a high end carpenter. He uses false advertising and he is not licensed nor insurer so make sure he shows documents.
I have filed with the BBB and had a reply once so you can check a more detailed report there as well. Horrible experience. Loss of a lot of money which I am now in the process of paying off. I had to get a second job in order to do this.
