I was not paid for my comments. I expressed my views as honestly and accurately as I could and have nothing to gain. I am sorry that your experiences we so different.

From my point of view, I would recommend River Villas to anyone looking for a pleasant place to retire. I have lived in River Villas for three years and have found the park to be a delightful place to live. Most of the residents are friendly and caring and we all tend to look out for each other. The games and activities lend to the overall enjoyment of River Villas.
Richard, the principal owner of River Villas, lives on site and is available seven days a week. He has never turned down a request for assistance and has resolved any concern that I had. He keeps the park in pristine condition and maintains reasonable guidelines for the appearance of each of our homes. I have always found him to be friendly and willing to assist at any time.
We own a 3 bed, 2 bath home and the construction is on par with most better built mobile homes (and I have owned several). As to the writers complaint about the 30 gal water heater, they are pretty much standard in mobile homes.
I think that a lot of how we perceive someone is our approach to that person. I would consider that maybe the writers approach was not in compliance with the lease agreement that they signed when they purchased the home.

I came down from Chicago to visit my nephew Rick in Crescent City Florida and to look for a place to retire to in Florida near him later this year. He recommended that I look River Villas he said he had heard a lot of nice things about it but when I stumble across rip offs .com I was skeptical and almost didn't go. When we went though the entrance the park was very clean and neat, we went to the office and met the owner Richard who was very pleasant person. The club house was beautiful and so was the pool when we went behind the club house my heart jump when I saw the marina as I love to fish .Richard told me that marina with water access to the historical St Johns River which is also known as the Bass Capital of the World. We then went and look at a home during the walk though Richards phone rang he excuse himself a tenant was having problems with A/C and right then and there he call a repair man still skeptical I thought this was for my benefit until later when I talk to a very nice neighbor who told me that Richard was like that and was always there handling their problems I was very impressed but I figure the bad news was about to come when we talk money due to the comments on the website, but again I was wrong the down payment was minimal needless to say I heading back home and packing up my house and moving to river villas. Oh and the A/c repair man was pulling in as we were leaving. If you are looking for a great retirement place you should at least look here I don't know why those things on ripoff.com were said but it almost ruin me from having a great new home maybe it was a competitor!!
