Brought my car into Robbie's Automotive & Collision Specialists for rear end repair. They advised me it will take up to 2 weeks and I was fine with that. I asked a couple standard questions about the process and whats going to be fixed and they bagan working on the car. After the tear down and insurance paying him the initial check the owner calls me up stating that if I want the car to come out looking right to pay extra for OEM parts. I stated to just put whatever parts the insurance company is paying for as I spoke to the insurance company and they said the non OEM parts are the same quality. The owner stated he doesn't feel comfortable working on my car unless I pay for OEM parts, I refuse to pay for anything that is what my insurance is for. I received an email from an employee from Robbie's Automotive & Collision Specialists stating that the owner refuses to finish the work on my car until I apologize to his staff in person. This bodyshop is clearly looking for more money than what insurance is already paying him for. He basically took my car in on agreement and started the job and demanded OEM parts for the project to be completed and now he is refusing to finish the job he started because I don't agree with him on paying extra for OEM parts and asked him and his staff too many questions and now he is looking for a way to make more money than what insurance is paying him for.
