I am writing this this report so other innocent people do not get duped, lied to and ripped off like we did. In November of 2014, I renred a house witht he option to buy from Robert Chenrick, in Massapequa NY. Robert Chenrick informed us that this was a rental with the option to buy and after a year, we would have satisfied our down payment and would be able to purchase the home.
In January of 2015, we were served with foreclosure papers along with legal actions being taken against Robert Chenrick and the home he rented us, which was ineligible for rental and any lease that was signed was null and void. In the months since living in this home, there have been parties full of drugs, knock down drag out screaming matches, police here at least 2 times a month...the list can go on and on. Robert Chenrick insisted we put the utilities in our names and continually ran up enourmous bills.
Robert Chenrick also loves to borrow money from his tenants....renters beware.
Rober Chenrick hs a live in girlfriend and slew of people that come in and out of the house for visits, but it takes them months to leave.
If you are reading this, odds are you are smart and have done some research on this man because you are thinking of renting a house from him. my advice to you as an ex tnant is dont. You will lose your money, your sanity and any peace you may have had before living in that house.

Sold me damaged goods and refused to make restitution. I currently have a small claims judgement against him. Will have a Lien on his house, if he even owns it. He is a total scum bag.

Think back when I showed up @ my home. I am Mrs. Chenrick soon to be divorced. I tried to explain to you renting my home without my consent is illegal Unfortunately you did not want to believe me. I have & he has a copying stating from NASSAU COUNTY SUPREME COURT. Anything to with my home HE MUST DISCUSS WITH ME PRIOR, IF I CONSENTED TO RENTING HE MUST SEND ME 1/2 THE AMOUNT EVERY MONTH. I have send a copy of this page to the Judge over seeing our case. The only think I can say if you are willing to write a letter and have it notarized he might have to pay you restitution.
I am still moving forward with the Supreme Court concerning everything he stole, illegal issues etc. If you choose to try & get some money back and stop him (he's renting out again, this time the entire house) Get back to me and let me know. I hope you have rent records, hopefully you paid by check. Did you get a lease? Anything in writing that can back up your story. I understand your another victim of Robert Chenrick. Let me know what you want to do. I deal with the Judge I would just need anything he signed or a Notarized letter with everything that occurred. He is clearly in contempt of Court.
