I dropped off my 1986 Monte Carlo SS at Rocky Mountain Customs in April 2014. I told him I wanted the interior redone. The motor and the outside was already done all that was left was the interior.  Jeff said it would take around $6000 with parts to get the carpet, seats, dash and head liner along with the carpet of in the trunk and should be done end of July. I wrote him a check for $10,000. The Monte Carlo was to be done first and any extra was to be put towards my 1968 Chevelle SS.

I got an email from Jeff in August this is directly from the email: The following is a list of the parts we need to finish up your monte. The dash should be done within the next couple weeks. I have had a couple pretty bad months around here with the shop.  My paint and body guy quit and come to find out he wasn't a very good paint and body guy. We have had to repaint 3 cars and rework a lot of body work that was done. That has caused me to go into the hole pretty bad. Don't worry about your cars, we aren't calling it quits or anything like that, as a matter of fact most of the body work and metal repair( Done by the new guy that does know what he is doing )on the Chevelle is done and it is in primer. I hope to have the bottom primed and painted and setting back on the frame next week. My big problem is I don't have the money to buy parts at this time.  Your money is still on account. I think Leanne mailed you invoices last week. The easiest would be if you had time to order and have them sent here. We have the part numbers and phone numbers to call.  If you don't want to or don't have the time we can get something else figured out.

The dash was in California and I had to call and pay for it to get it back.  My Monte Carlo is stripped now and I picked it up took it to another shop. How is it my fault his employees screwed up?

The problem is most people would be stuck with his bad work or incomplete work. They would have to pay him more money to finish their vehicle. I was charged 15 hours to remove the seats, take off the fabric and steam them. He also charged me to sand and refinish doors. My body was just redone so the doors did not need anything. I was charged 3 hours for that. I also asked him to replace my body bushings he charged me for replacement of all of them (I gave him the bushings) he missed 3 of them. He charged me 6 hours to replace rear brake pads and one brake line. My final statement from him said he has spent $4300.

I believe Jeff and his company is double charging for labor and I can't prove it. It is labor not parts. It's his word against mine. I have filed a complaint on BBB also.
