To David,
I have been in the automobile business for over 20 yrs, and find your claims to be nonsense. Simple common sense would tell even an uneducated layman that Audi USA and AUDI Mexico are two different company's. Any moron who can read would (before purchase AND WITH $70,000 ON THE LINE) read the warranty manual or call the manufacture to find out what is and is not covered.
How some one with the means to purchase a $70,000 vehicle could pretend to be so innocent in claiming a Texas address when you clearly work or live or both in Mexico shows you to be a not very smart scammer.
Go back to Mexico and play your games with your fellow countrymen and seee how fast and far they can throw you out.
The Dealer owes you nothing. You owe him an apoligy for wasting his time. Audi USA owes you nothing as you are trying to scam then and Audi Mexico owes you nothing as you bought the vehicle out side of their deale network and have no reason to warrant anything for you based on your fraudulent address game. Auto dealeships have a hard enough time with real problems, your complaint only shows your ignorance. What kind of a job could you possiably have to afford this type of vehicle and be so ignorant. I hope you boss has not read this as he would have to question how he could pay someone so much money that is so stupid.
Do the Automobile Dealership world a favor and take the bus to work everyday! You clearly do not deserve a new car.

I recently had one of my good customers call me in fear, stating that someone was trying to slander you on the internet. My response was, "So what's New"? Many people try to hide behind the internet hoping to damage the personal and professional status of individuals with slanderous stories. I will tell you being in the car business for over 26 years, that this one top them all.
First of all David, who has no last name made many false statements in his story. Honestly, the only truth in his statement was that he bought a car from us. He was told prior to buying the vehicle the the Car WOULD NOT be warrantied in Mexico. His response to me personally was he had owned a Mercedes and that the Mexican dealers honored his warranty. When I called Mercedes to find out if this is true, I was told, "no, an American Spec Mercedes cannot be covered in Mexico by a US warranty. As far as selling vehicles to people that Live in Laredo, Texas, if someone wants to purchase a car from me that lives in Laredo, I'll happily sell them one. All proper and legal disclosures were made to David when he purchased the vehicle to include the fact that if he took the car out of the Country it was his responsibility to notify the Manufacturer that the car would be operated in a Foreign Country. People that know me personally and professionally in Austin would look at this story and laugh. Not one sentence in the RIPOFF REPORT is true except the fact that he bought the car from us.
No low ball offer was ever made. David was told to bring the car by the dealership and we would give him a fair return based on miles and condition. (We don't know if the vehicle was involved in an accident or not so we needed to see the car) He never brought the car to us for appraisal.
Secondly, I never had any conversations with David of Laredo until after he purchased the vehicle claiming that my people at Audi deceived and lied to him. Susanne and her Sales manager Joe, both told him the car was not covered in Mexico prior to purchasing this vehicle. I have never met David of Laredo and I do not want to meet David of Laredo, he has not been honest in this situation and honesty is company policy.
The only reason that I'm responding to his story is because one of my customers told me I should have it taken off but in some cases maybe buyers can also be liars so I would rather leave in it on and let the consumers read both stories and form their own opinion. It's easy to hide behind a computer but I have a last name and it's Stein.
Of the current 78,000 customers we have in our database I'm sure we have not been perfect all the time from a customer satisfaction standpoint but as far as my salespeople being deceptive in the sales process, I know for a fact they are the best people in the industry and we don't have to lie to sell Audi's or lie about a car going into a foreign country. It's a standard disclosure. American Spec cars are only warrantied in the country they were purchased, unless they are purchased as an overseas delivery.

Wow, the story gets better and better. This customer even financed with a contract stating the vehicle could not leave USA soil for more than 72 hours. He registered his previous vehicle in Laredo and rather than stating Mexico as his residence IN THIS REPORT, he signed his name and listed LAREDO!! To my knowledge we have ZERO customers residing in Mexico... 1. It is against our franchise agreement on new vehicles and 2. You can not take a car out of the US that is financed or has a lien against it for more than a few days. This allows people that live in the US to commute to work in Mexico, but does not allow someone to "export" while a banking institution owns the vehicle. Dean
