The commercial was the standard advertising hype and fine print, but IF you pay attention it says she has settled IRS debt for as little as $20. She never said that she could settle any debt for $20. I hate misleading and deceptive ads too, but you have to really pay attention, and never buy anything just based on a TV ad. There is always a catch. If it sounds to good to be true, you should know that it is. Buyer beware.

Why in the world would you pay Roni Duetch 3000 dollars (and still owe some unknown negotiated amount to the IRS)instead of just paying off the tax bill with that 3000 dollars? That makes no sense at all. The point when they wanted an additional 2500 dollars should have been the point to cancel their services. You were already 500 dollars in the hole. You probably not only owe the original taxes but some additional IRS penalties as well. I have seen that her recent late night commercials no longer have the mullet lady claiming to have paid only 20 dollars. They are a little more generic though none the less misleading. I hope that you are able to get your money back. Good luck.
