I received a letter (In the Mail) Congratulating me on being a lucky winner of an International Sweepstakes drawn held in December 2006 in the 1st Category. They stated my name was attached to a winning ticket for a total lump sum of $95,000.00. (Which was from a total cash prize of $950,000.00 shared among 10 International winners)

Now the part that made me really think something was wrong was that I received a check with this letter to help pay for a Non-Resident Processing Fee of 3.4% taqken from my winnings - I have received several letters in the mail stating similar results and just threw them in the trash but I never received that kind of money in a check - This check is a valid check but another strange thing was that the check was written and signed from a company in Chicago, Ill named Rubenstein Lumber Co. Remember the Royal Fnance & Gaming Corp is located in North York Ontario, Canada.

A note on the letter states: ALL PRIZE WINNING MUST BE CLAIMED NOT LATER THAN JUNE 29TH,, 2007, AT WHICH TIME ANY UNCLAIMED WINNING WILL BE DECLARED ABANDONED AND HENCE BE GIVEN TO A CHARITY ORGANIZATION OF OUR CHOICE.

The letter also tells you to claim your winning please contact your claim Agent - MR. OWEN KENNEDY at, 1-888-279-1537 EXT 251.

I did call the number and Mr. Kennedy seemed to constantly be on the phone with other winners - He finally asked me for my phone number and said he'd call me back - but before he hung up asked me if I had deposited the check I received - I told him I had not because I wanted to find out about this first - he then said he had to call me back - He did call me back and I didn't talk with him yet

In the meantime I tried to find out if the Royal Finance and Gaming Corp existed and I can't find anything - I finally contacted the people where the check was issued from in Chicago and they told them that it was definately fraud - They had to close the account as it was used for their vendors and somehow these people got the account number and printed real checks against the account. They have since closed the account therefore any checks deposited will not be paid - they will bounce!! Lucky for the Lumber company that the checks were drawn on - No so lucky for anyone depositing the checks and forwarding the money for the processing fees -

Its so funny that these things always seem to get to you when you most desperately need help or could really use the money -

BEWARE - IT'S SO SAD THAT OUR WORLD IS LIKE THIS

REMEMBER ITS SOOOO TRUE If it looks to good to be true It usually is!
