My hhusband and I went in to Russ Darrow nissan during a "huge sale" they were having. We have been talking about trading me car in and figures we would see what they had to offer.
As soon as we pulled up, a salesman walked out to greet us, I told him I was interested in trading my car in and that I wanted to see there selection of used cars. It was raining out so the sales man sat us at his desk, asked what we were interested in and took down our trade in info.
I hadn't even looked at any of the cars on there lot before they were coming back to me with offers on my car. They were offering me $7k less than I owed, so I politely declined there offer. They then sent there "bank advisor" to talk me into buying a car from them and then giving my "trade in car" back to the bank... in other words the wanted me to buy there car and have mine repossessed...
After that discussion I once again declined that idea and told them I would need time to think things over and try to sell my car myself. So my husband and I left. Not even 20 minutes after we get home the salesman calls me saying he wants to work something out, I tell him that I am not interested and that I can't afford a car payment with $7k rolled over on it. That was that.
Two days later I got an alert from my credit monitoring system that I had 6 new inquiries on my husband and my credit reports! Even after we told them we were interested in pursuing any business with them and I specifically told the salesman not to run my credit, they ran it anyways 6 times!!!!
I called the general manager about this and he informed me that he couldn't do anything about this and that it was a mistake because the sales man is new. Now my husband and I have been docked over 20 points each on our credit because of this dealership!
