Ryland's Specialized Import Service Ryland's Import Service = All talk and no substance Marietta, Georgia
I have a classic Porsche 911 and my driver's side window would not close so I tried Ryland's Specialized Import Service. Supposedly, Ryland raced cars at one time and now specializes in repairing performance cars including Porsches. Hope he was better at racing than his repairs. After three months, $600 later and several return visits to the shop to fix my car window it still did not work. Worse, on the last trip I brought my car to Ryland with a full tank of gas and he delivered it to me with the tank empty!!! I ran out of gas on the way to the gas station!!! Imagine being stranded on the side of the highway with a Porsche 911 and no gas. Was it necessary to test drive my car (put 400 miles on it) for a window repair? My friend later repaired the window for me -- it took him all of 15 minutes and he is not even a Porsche mechanic. Thank you Greg. Atlanta is one of the worst cities in the country for dishonest auto repair shops - especially for performance cars. Was Ryland dishonest or incompetent? or both? $600 for a window repair that ultimately did not last, took my car back for the same problem three times in a row, my car sat on his lot for over a month, left me with no gas to get to a gas station much less get home for a repair that my friend fix (permanently) in 15 minutes. You be the judge.
