Safe Deposit coins LLC.  (I willbe using the fictitious name of “Richard Cranium” to conceal the identity of the owner).

In my opinion Safe Deposit Coins LLC and Richard Cranium is not only misrepresenting the coins they are selling on the iCollector auction site but also miss advertise the coins.

I took part in 5 of their auctions, all within a weeks’ time and of the 5 I only received coins from two. The total amount that Safe Deposit Coins LLC and Richard Cranium took from my bank account was $538.07 and the two sets I did receive totaled $46.45 leaving a balance due of $491.62.

The online line auction stated "unsearched Mixed Dates & Grades" or “nice mixture of dates and grades”, from that one would believe that all coins would have readable dates and at least carry a grade of good.  The coins I did receive were junk at best. The coins either had no dates or they were damaged making them worthless.  In the “terms and conditions” Safe Deposit Coins LLC and Richard Cranium repeatedly states that the coins should be inspected and graded prior to bidding but they repeatedly show the same pictures for each auction lot.  There is no way to inspect any coins in the lot and Richard Cranium will not say who is selling the lots and how to contact them, so the buyer is left to believe that the coins they will receive will at least be of the quality described and pictured. I have complained to Richard Cranium and told him they misrepresent the coins.

I also repeatedly requested my remaining coins and tracking numbers, only twice was I given tracking numbers and was constantly lied to by Richard Cranium with him saying they were shipped.  I finally told Richard Cranium not to ship any remaining coins and for him to return my $491.62 back to my bank account.  I also told him that if coins did show up at my residence I would be returning them back to him with the package unopened.  I did this because I just knew that anything I received from Safe Deposit Coin LLC and Richard Cranium would be more junk coins and not worth the money I wanted returned to me.  I did so that I could save myself, Safe Deposit Coins LLC and Richard Cranium from my opening the packages and inspecting the coins only to find nothing but junk coins again and having to fight to send them back and trying to get a refund on an open package, I felt this was fair to everyone.

If I had known that Safe Deposit Coin LLC was going to misrepresent their coins so badly I would never have purchased them. I would also bring up a couple of points of interest, first of all Safe Deposit Coins LLC and Richard Cranium is representing that their coins are coming out of a safe deposit box and it is my belief that this is an outright lie, no one in their right mind would maintain this type of worthless coins in a safe deposit box unless it is one of the companies that do sell bulk trash coins, who state the true condition. Secondly this is not a first time concern, as a matter of fact this is a common practice of Safe Deposit Coins LLC, that is why they carry a F rating with the BBB and they supposedly have been reported to Better Business Bureau prior to this by other bidders.

It is my belief that with the way this company is conducting business that the state of Colorado should shut this business down, that way other unexpecting buyers are not cheated out of their hard earn money.  Please read the complaints on the BBB site for Safe Deposit Coins LLC to back up what I have told you.

This problem with Safe Deposit Coins LLC and Richard Cranium has been going on  since July 27, 2015 and here it is September 16, 2015 and I have not received a cent back from this person or company.

DATES AND GRADES IMPLY JUST THAT

If someone is going to state a good mixture of dates then the coins need to have dates even if they are weak they should be readable.  I am speaking of buffalo nickels, indian and wheat cents and that is a whole different class of coins than anything from late 1959 to 2015.

If a seller is going to state a nice mixture of grades then the coins should be gradeable.  Even a AG coin is worthless is it is bent, gouged and the coin is not drilled or altered in any way.  For the coins to be grade they should have no defects other than normal wear.

The coins I am specking of was junk and did not meet even the minimal standards for grading or dates.  I am not looking to get rich nor lucky buying coins from the internet because there is no such thing as a unsearched group of coins unless you buy strait from the mint and even those are searched to a degree.

So I stand by what I origanally stated that this company is not selling the items that they say they are.

Why would you think that?

The online line auction stated "unsearched Mixed Dates & Grades" or “nice mixture of dates and grades”, from that one would believe that all coins would have readable dates and at least carry a grade of good.

- Why from those statetements would you "believe" that they would have readable dates and at least a good grade?  If you got a bunch of About Good,Fair and Poor coins from the 1990's & 2000's those statements would still qualify.  They could even give you just a few "fine" coins from 2010-2015 to add to this "nice mixture".

BTW even if they were "good" those are seldem(unless it is an extreamly rare coin) collectable.  It sounds like you are more upset that you didn't become this one in a million person who finds the Picasso of the Coin collecting world in a pile of junk.
