Safelite Auto Glass Broke my door handle and did not take responsibility! tamarac, Florida
Extremely disappointing. I called them out to replace a back window on a Ford Expedition that was shattered. I left a time frame of 12-5pm on a Friday afternoon and when they showed up at 4pm they spent an hour trying to open the window latch and when they were not able to open it said they would not replace the glass. Leaves me without a window for the weekend - thanks!
They referred me to a locksmith or a dealership to open this latch. When I went to the dealership they changed the window but said the door handle was broken, now I have to pay the dealership for them to fix what Safelite is responsible for.
In the process of them trying to open my window latch they broke my door handle when I reached out and explained to them what happened instead of taking responsibility they blamed the wear and tear of the truck and the dealership. Very unprofessional and offered no solution. For such a big corporation their customer service needs big improvements.
