i recieved a letter through the post, from Spain which had a real euro stamp and authentic water marks. when i opened it, it stated that i was one of the winners in the 3rd catergory of the yearly spanish government lottery bonanza, a company called santa lucia security company s.l had placed me into the prize draw and because i won i was obliged to send them 10% of the winnings. i had won 815,810,00 euros.

like many people do, you check whether the letter is real and authentic, i do this all the time, but this time i was fooled.

it had contact details, reference numbers, names, spanish government logos and a signature from the vice president.

so i rang the number, spoke to Don Pablo Sanchez, the "Foreign Operations Manager", and gave my details. stupid mistake.

the next day i got a call from "Eve Lewis" explaining that i had to transfer a sum of 830 pounds to the bank for an authentification certificate to prove to the Minister of the UK that the money wasnt laundered as it was over 500,000 pounds, and because i was the beneficiary to the money which means only i can access that account, but because i wasnt a spanish national i had to pay it out of my own pocket. sounds pretty convincing at first, but dont be fooled.

i rang my brother and told him about it, and we checked up the name of the company and we found that it is a scam, if the number on the letter or email you recieve is " 00 34 6...." it is a mobile number, not an office number which means that they do this so they cant be traced. i rang up "Pablo" the idiot and questioned him, i said well if it is not a scam why dont YOU pay the 830 and when i get my money i will give you your 10% and the 830 back aswell. the stupid b****** started stuttering and i listened into the background, he wasnt in an office, he was in the street! he said quickly he had to go back to work and when i tried to ring back a few times later, phone off. rang "eve", phone off.

dont be fooled if you read this, i was in so much shock at first and refused to believe that it could happen to me, i had made so many plans and had aspirations and when i realised i felt like a fool.

luckily i didnt send any money, i only gave my account details however this can be sorted. sending money to them, you will NEVER get it back. please dont ignore this and be careful!
