We made it very clear that we came to your store on 7 Mar 2014 in search of a Tourmaline mined in Paraiba Brazil. We were assured by Cristina Madrid that your stones were authentic, and not of Mozambique or Nigerian origin as used by Tiffany & Co. according to her.

She told us that the Brazilian authorities would confiscate your stones and shut you down if they were not authentic and thus offered to reimburse for a GIA certificate. To that end she specifically wrote “NATURAL BATALHA MINE PARAIBA ST.” on your certificate of authenticity. There is no ambiguity there. The GIA certificate may be viewed by anyone at the GIA online site #2161288872 and clearly identifies the stone as Mozambique origin.

Any reputable Jeweler would know that amongst the factors determining price of a gem is origin, and Mozambique Tourmalines are half the value of a Paraiba origin stone.

Your response is full of assumptions and little fact that will not prevail in court. For one example, you state that it was “Our opinion of course, the stones are of Brazilian origin” this is ASSUMPTION not an opinion.  It is the opinion of the experts at G.I.A. that this stone’s origin is Mozambique, I think this is more compelling in court than your assumption.

If you have a problem with your suppliers, it is your responsibility to assure that the product is genuine before passing it on to your customers. Your failure calls into question the origin and quality of all your stones.

Your response indicates to me that you are well aware that the product that you are selling is not authentic. My posts stand, and I will continue to make consumers aware of your practices. It took a post on Facebook to even get you to address the fraud committed against me. All you have done is try to thwart further actions by me to obtain a refund and expose your practices. The quicker you make things right by refunding my money and the GIA certificate cost, and be honest with your customers, the easier and more complete it will be to undo actions you are forcing me to take to obtain a proper resolution.

YOUR PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS SHOULD HAVE THEIR GEMS CHECKED
