i was hired by this company to work as a cashier. the store owner is mary joy and richard callueng, and they both work there as well. when they hired me, i was only asked to fill out the application form and thats it, the next day they asked me to start. There were no background checks, no employment history verification, etc. And also, do not work for this company because they do not provide any, ANY kind of benefits. 6 months of working hard for them, they fired me just like that, they didnt give me a reason why which i think is very unprofessional of them. They also claim to be chinese couple from new jersey but NO, they're filipinos from Philippines.

I don't know what it is like to work for this store, but as a citizen of this state, I can tell you that an employer can hire and fire at will. If someone fills out an application for employment and the employer does not do a background check, so what. If the owners are from the Phillipines, so what? I have always found what I needed at their store and they have always been kind. The only complaint I might have is that from time to time, the fish department smells bad. Everyone knows not to buy fish if it smells.
If Alessa has a complaint, she should take it up with the owners of the store and examine her own life, not post negative comments when there is probable stains on her own record.
I like this store.
