Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I ordered a CD-Rom program for my daughter to prepare for the PSATs, realizing that my CD-drive doesn't work. I expressed concern to Louise Biden, the telemarketeer I was talking to and she guaranteed me I could get a refund, "just have your daughter use the program at the library, or a friend's, or at school".

I figured I cold just ge a refund. When I told my daughter, she reminded me that I already purchased her 2 textbooks that were for college preparation, they were pretty expensive.

As soon as I received my package, I was set to send the program back. I tried to follow all the directions to acquire my refund, but the company made it impossible to send back correctly, therefore not guaranteeing a full refund. I was to call the company to get the recquired refund confirmation number--everytime I called, "this number was temporarily out of service. It took almast 30 days to receive package in the mail, but it was deducted from my credit card immediately. I did the UPS tracking to document delivery date, to prove my 30-day inspection of product, from day of receipt. I thought I'd sent them a text message, which I think they did receive. Near the end of my 30-day inspection, I contacted the BBB of Eastern Texas, out of Dallas.

We did the "drill'.They contacted the company, and when they received no response after 40 days or so, my case was closed. So what good is the BBB anyways? Obviously, the company knows the drill. I informed the BBB that I was sending the program back without the refund authorization number, in the allotted time, in order not to jeopardize my obtaining a refund. The catch was if you did not cancel the program and file for a refund, they were automatically going to continue deducting a fee for their service.

I sent everything back to them, with a letter stating I had documentation of receipt of my CD-ROM program, and was returning it within my 30-day window.I sent it back UPS, and got insurance on it so it could be tracked to prove date of reception to company. Somebody from the company called and told my daughter I would be receiving my refund in 7-10 days. It's been since the end of May that I have been waiting.

I contacted the BBB again, since the company did contact me, and they are done with the complaint. I tried to text the company again, Now I cannot get through there either. The SAT&ACT PREP CENTER obviously "know how to play the game". Now besides taking my money, they got their CD-ROM program back, and they can reuse it to rip off my next unsuspecting customer.s
