Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was referred to this company by a friend who had signed up, but hadn't started working yet, so he didn't know what he was getting into. I signed a contract to be an independent subcontractor for this company, making phone calls from home to clients from the company's database. The job was verifying information of applications that the clients supposedly filled out online.

Unfortunately, one of the stipulations, buried in small print, was that you had to pay the company a $24 per month administrative fee for one year. You also had to pay them a non-refundable $75 fee for a background search and what they called "insurance."

Most of the phone numbers in their database were either no answer, Caller ID, answer machine, not home, busy or bad numbers. When I did finally reach a customer, they had no clue what I was talking about. They told me that they did not go online to fill out any such application. This leads me to believe that the clients in this company's database were from somewhere else, not people who specifically asked for us to call them.

I saw the writing on the wall. You had to make an inordinate number of calls to get even one customer to speak with, and then, when you did reach a customer, they told you they filled out no such application and requested no one to call them about this.

When I told the company I quit, they said I owed them $24 per month for the next year. They said I signed the contract. They also said that I'd have to make 200-400 calls a day in order to make money. They didn't tell me that before I signed up. They didn't tell me that most of the numbers I would be calling wouldn't connect me with anyone.

They didn't tell me that the people I would be calling would have to be "sold" something. I thought I'd just be verifying information. If these customers filled out an application online for the information this company was offering, they would remember they did and I shouldn't have to talk them into giving me information about their finances, value of their home, debts.

Deceptive, sleazy, ripoff, waste of time is SaveAmericaMoney.com. Don't be fooled.

Not on the up and up. They are trying to create a list of clients who are interested in information on debt consolidation or mortgage or refinance information. Sales people will call those clients and probably push their sales pitch at them.

I told them I quit, I would not pay the $24 fee per month, that they were a scam and a ripoff and I wrote them a certified letter stating such. To me it's slave labor, the amount of calls you have to make to earn any money, then you have to pay them a fee each month for what? And if you try to quit they hit you up for that $24 per month for the year, even if you're not working for them. NO WAY.

SaveAmericaMoney on Oregon Attorney General's list

I found out today that SaveAmericaMoney is on the Oregon Department of Justice Consumer Complaints list for companies that are being checked into. There has been other complaints about this company. I am filing a complaint with them against SaveAmericaMoney. I'm waiting to hear from the California Attorney General Deputy District Attorney's office to file a complaint against SaveAmericaMoney as well. SaveAmericaMoney has stolen money from my account, and no one from that company has helped me yet. I just get the runaround, call this number and talk to Eric, but of course there is just a voice message and Eric never calls you back. Rip off, deceptive, fradulent, steals money from you, bogus all the way!!!

As of yet I have not received my money back

During the month of April, SaveAmericaMoney took $24 out of my checking account on three different dates, for a total of $72. It put my checking account into overdraw status, and I had to pay bank fees to correct the problem. This company had no right to take money out of my account. One employee told me it was a bank error. I don't believe it. As of yet I have not received my money back. In fact, I had to close my account with the bank to stop this company from taking any more money of mine that was not theirs. Someone named Paul King Jr. emailed me and told me to retract what I wrote here on this website. I will not. I told him to refund my money and prove that this company is on the up and up. He told me that I will most likely be sent to collections for my actions. If you try to call them you always get a voice message. It says that if you have accounting problems to write to an address in Iowa. They don't give you a person to talk to, just an address to write to. Even if you leave a message for them to call you back they don't. Don't waste your time with these people. They treat you like a slave, they don't honor your requests, they make you sign a contract that they won't let you out of for a year, and they give you the runaround when you try to get answers. Deceptive for sure.
