do not work for this company. there is a 2month non paid training period and then once you start working on your own you wait 4 weeks until your first pay check. mandatory meetings are non paid. during the training progress the trainer doesnt get paid for training you so they dont really take the time to train you properly. i ended spending about $500 bucks just on tools just to get started.
you are basically throw into the job without the proper training and expect you to know everything. if you run into a problem its hard to get ahold of the supervisor and when you do he gets mad at you for calling to ask a question.
they treat the recievers as produce so you dont have jobs to install them they have to be returned back to the shop within 14 days. i went to the shop to return 1 upopen box of 4 receivers in there and an open box with 2 recievers. they end up i dont misplaing them the unopen boc with the 4 recievers and i got charged $460 for them.
i went to a job in hendersonville and this customer ended up having no light of sight and had to cancel i got charged $20 and when i asked about it i got no answer from the supervisor. When a homeowner calls direct tv to ask a question about anything i get charged $12 for each call they make. there has been several times when i call a homeowner to let them know im on the way and when i cant get ahold of the homeowner and i speak to my supervisor he says just show up and there has been numerous times where i drove 90 mins to the house and no one is house and i have to cancel the call which i dont get paid for travel.
you go to a job which could be an hour away and you get there and there is no line of sight and you have to cancel the job which in turn you dont get paid for it. there is alot of cons with this company.
do not work for this company you will end up spending more money than you are making. i started with this company in november and so far i have made less than $1000 for the last 4 months. That cant pay the bills!!!
