Sceptre AKA Komodo Computer Monitors ripoff refused to honor a 50.00 rebate. Customer service hangs up on customers. City Of Industry California
I ordered a Sceptre Flatsceen monitor from TigerDirect.com online as they offered a 50.00 rebate back in Sept,03.
I never received word from the company regarding the status of my rebate. They wouldn't return my calls or emails. I got hung up on by several people there who didn't seem to care whether I was helped or not. I had to get in through the marketing dept as there is never anybody in customer service, accounting or tech support that answers the line.
There's never an operator to answer when you hit 0. I finally got someone to help me who was quite rude who mentioned that I didn't mail them an original receipt, so they voided my rebate check. Since I ordered the product online, the only reciept I had was the TigerDirect.com invoice which they said was acceptable. Even on the "requirements for rebates" page it says that I can send the original OR a copy, which I did. If anyone else has the same problem, their number is 800-788-2878
