We called to have our cooling system repaired as it was leaking due to condensation. A rude woman, Heather, directed us to call a plumber, as she maintained they didn't do that kind of work. We called a plumber and he said we need an air cooling company. I had taken time off work to meet the plumber at our home. So, I called Schmidt's back again. The same rude woman answered the phone and acted like our call was a real imposition. She told me they wouldn't stand behind their work because a plumber really should be doing it. A very nice repairman came and couldn't finish it all the same day. He was to call back and come on Saturday to finish the job. No call. I called the company and got snotty Heather again. She said her paperwork indicated our work was done. She argued with me. Finally, she said she'd check with the repairman. Then she put me on hold and said we were on the schedule for work that day. I informed her that we work and wouldn't be there to give entry to a repair person. She said she'd call back. No call for several days. I called again. She was rude and argumentative again. I hung up. She called the next day, apologized and left a message that they wanted to finish the job and found out what needed to be done. I called back; Heather wasn't there. Frank said he'd have her call me. She didn't. After several days I called again and asked if they planned to finish the work. She again argued about what needed to be done. After she told me she was the daughter of the owners, I asked to speak to one of them. She got nasty and said, "My parents are well aware of this." I was put on hold. She came back and said she'd been trying to reach me several times to schedule the work. I told her I hadn't gotten any messages. She got nasty, so I hung up on her.

What a shame. You try to advise a customer on their needs and they "shoot the messenger" WE could've certainly and simply took this customer's money, but as always elected to tell her what our 39 years of being in business indicated the correct fix. To pick on Heather, our most dedicated and caring employee is rediculous. This customer calling Heather a "witch" ONLY serves to show this consumer's true attitude!
