Secretary of State AKA Plainfield Branch Are corrupt, power controlling and unorganized Grand Rapids Michigan
Isaac & I just came from the Secretary of State's Office on Plainfield!
He had all his documents ready! We were able to get a paper, stamped and sealed from 62nd A and 61st Distric Court for saying he is making payment plans to Stillman Law(AkA State Farm) and Pioneer State Mutual is agreeing to remove his record from the Court's records! We bought SR22 Insurance and brought our Temporary ID record which is what we thought we needed.
We waited for 45 minutes to and hour just to hear a young kid who looks younger than me tell us he cannot help us because...
1.) The SR22 Insurance did not state it on the ID we got from esurance which we printed.
2.) He looked at the paperwork we have from 62nd A district court and told us he didn't know what it was. It has a seal on it from the courthouse and is signed by them.
3.) He said he has to call the Michigan Department of State- Driver Responsibility Department and ask if we still need SR22(yes we do, we already knew this when purchasing our insurance) and ask them if he still owes money to our driver responsibility fees. This morning after calling them, they told us our taxes took care of the $500 we owed. Praise God for that, one less debt and a little peace of mind!! :)
He had a smug look and when Isaac tried to explain himself, he didn't even listen but interrupted rudely and said he cannot do anything more than what he could do!
We told him that we would be telling people about the corruption and lack of communication that goes on in this branch.
Well, his name is Joe and he wears glasses! He is very rude and arogant!
So yes, we are still unable to drive legally, have a vehicle, debts paid or in the process but always end up at a standstill when it comes to the Secretary of State!
Something doesn't seem quite right about this!
We continue a battle that has lasted now 3 years, 3 months and counting! This is ridiculous and inexusable that just because they are a part of the government, they think they can push their power around and control someone's ability to drive! I know we are not the only ones who have been wronged by the secretary of state or other governmental agencies and we really need to ban together so even the small people like us have their voices heard and stop the domineering attitudes of these cowards behind the desk!
