Took 6 weeks to get a service tech out for 2 claims one was pool heater second was clothes washer. Upon contacting other local appliance and pool contractors they shared the many alike stories of previous experience working for these crooks and explained why they wouldn't accept any work from them. I had over 38 calls into the customer service number always asking to speak with corp., or a manager, or someone who can handle this. 6 weeks was just not acceptable to go without a clothes washer with family of 4, with wife 7 months pregnant when this all began. Finally they contacted a new appliance contractor who was willing to take their work order. He fixed the washer and I wished him luck on receiving his fees once the job was done and shared the many horrible stories that I had been told over the last weeks. For the pool heater, originally contractor came out and identified needed electric fuse box replaced which took another 5 weeks for them to find electrician willing to accept their work order, then 3 more weeks to provide work order to original pool contractor. They came today and said system needed to be replaced and Select said sorry but your warranty only covers $400, and system is $5500 to replace. I want anyone who is reading this to understand your covered but make sure to read the fine print on what they actually do cover and what the limit they will pay. The salesman who I worked with explained that my executive warranty covered full replacement and this was certainly not the case. I have requested cancellation and asked to speak with billing and or/manager so I would know how much they think they are going to take for 2 months of the warranty as was hung up on. Buyers beware, stay away from this Home Warranty provider they are a scam and our government should investigate how these warranty companies rip off hundreds of thousands of good people daily.
