Beware of SelloffAuctions.com.!!!

I had heard about on-line Penny Auction sites and decided to check out Selloff Auctions, and see what they were auctioning. In order to find that out any information about auction items, SelloffAuctions.com requires registration. Their registration requires that personal information and credit card information fields be completed in order to continue.

I have had experience with other on-line auction sites which require credit card information before bidding, however, Selloff Auctions billed my credit card for $179.00 just to Register!

I used Selloff Auctions "live chat" to inquire about the $179.00 registration fee. I was told by a chat operator that I should have read the "fine print" which included their No Refund Policy. When I responded that I had never heard of a reputable company that does have a refund policy, the chat operator repeated the same reply about the "fine print".

Before closing the "live chat" session, I informed the operator that I would be filing a complaint regarding Selloff Auctions' business practices with the Better Business Bureau.

Since then I have been unable to log on to my Selloff Auctions account. After repeatedly getting the "Username/ Password Invalid" message, I tried resetting my password using the "Forgot your Password" link. After attempting to log in using my new password, I received this message: "Your account has been discontinued".

I feel like I have been duped! Not only did Selloff Auctions take my $179.00, I am no longer able to access my account which included over 1000 unused bids.

I inadvertently omitted the word NOT in the following statement:

When I responded that I had never heard of a reputable company that does have a refund policy, the chat operator repeated the same reply about the "fine print".
