Signe Feldman currently works for Carlton Staffing in Irving, Texas and is an independent consultant for https://signe.scentsy.us.  Ten months ago, I applied for an open position at Carlton Staffing.

After taking and passing the assessment test, Signe Feldman immediately looked upon me with disdain and disqualified me due to my skin color.  I was infuriated because several of the other applicants, who were white and took more time to complete the test, were offered jobs.

After running an exhaustive background check on Ms. Feldman, a private detective friend of mine revealed that she has misdemeanor theft convictions dating back to 1980 in San Diego, California.  Records show that she was convicted of two counts of theft from a local department store in the greater San Diego area.  Such charges are classified as 1st degree misdemeanors.

When I saw that record, I wondered to myself how she was able to get a job with Carlton Staffing.

Thanks to my source, I can now take this issue up with her superiors at Carlton Staffing now that I am no longer in the market for a job.

If you come into contact with her, just be aware that she has a checkered past that job seekers and other employers need to know about.  She has screwed me over and has possibly screwed other people of color as well.

I took this matter up with the Texas Workforce Commission, but they could not do anything about it.

Therefore, this is my last resort to mention my bad experience with her on RipoffReport.

In my opinion, she really should be fired for practicing racial discrimination at her job, and I hope that she does not get another job in Texas again if her future employers see this post.

To the poster right above me, I can assure you I only posted ONCE. There are NUMEROUS complaints about temp agencies on ripoff reports. They tend to get a LOT of responses because so many people have had AWFUL experiences with them. Some complaints are like that. I don't know the other posters but I believe every word they say because I too have had a lot of bad experiences with temp agencies and evidently I'm not the only one. I simply refuse to work under any temp agencies anymore. I have friends who would rather be unemployed than work under an agency too.

They are NOTORIOUS LIARS. Check the NUMEROUS YouTube videos with people complaining about them. Not just from here in the U.S. but across the pond in London, England too. Since many American temp agencies have offices in England they must be doing the same old s**t across the pond as well.

I tried to sign up on careerbuilder and BLOCK temp agencies from coming up in my searches and I could not. They've paid off careerbuilder to allow them to work their way into the searches of folks who don't want to apply with them. They LIE and come up as if they are the actual employer.

They do the same thing with Indeed.com and even with the Texas Workforce Site. I've complained on those sites as well about how they are circumventing the blocks and misleading people. There are temp agencies out there that appear to be actual companies doing direct hire and you don't know they are agencies until you get the call.

But enough of that.. On the the meat of this comment. Why the "F" did the white woman get hired with a misdemeanor when that would have been an AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFIER for a black or Hispanic person!? I'm black but I've worked at jobs here where white guys came in with all sorts of criminal records and some didn't even have Active ID's when they were hired and used ID's long ago expired an it was NEVER a problem. Yet I can assure you if I had a criminal record and no ID I would have never got the interview.

It is clear and convincing racial prejudice still here in Texas. Without a doubt.

By the way I just noticed I hit the wrong button and am listed as "Owner of company". I am not. FYI

The OP posting and the ones that follow are, in my opinion, from the same person.  This person obviously has some major sour grapes. First off, who cares how long the other applicants took to take their test! Maybe you were so busy watching those around you that you did a crappy job. Next time, focus on your own test!! Like you should've been taught in elementary school, EYES ON YOUR OWN PAPER! Second, who cares if someone had a misdemeanor from 32 YEARS AGO!!!

You come across as stalkerish. Please, have some self-respect.

Temp Agencies SUCK... Especially those in Texas

I've learned to stay away from temp agencies. Most are shady anyway. They are mostly always trying to undercut their workers and will terminate on the spot for anything. I worked for one major company through a temp agency (KELLY Services if you must know) and the employer had us taking work home and working off the clock. I did this a couple of times and then called the agency and told them. The next day I was told not to return. Yet those who said nothing kept the job. Temp agencies look the other way to keep the contracts. I was the best associate and just been told they were making me permanent until I complained.

I have had friends who worked for agencies who had to threaten to sue to get paid. And the agencies always lied to the unemployment office about why the assignment ended. Most agencies are staffed with LIARS. Pure and simple.

I had a friend who was on unemployment. She applied through an agency and they offered her an $8.00 an hour parttime job about 40 minutes from her. Yet were desperate to get it filled. She mentioned that she was on unemployment and would wait until they found something else. Her unemployment was more than what the job paid. As soon as she left they called the unemployment office and turned her in. He checks were stopped.

Agencies are AWFUL!

Some people think their big shots just becuse their in management but when they lose there job, they realise their no different than us 'little' folks.

i herd sum bad stories about Signe Feldman from some of my friends.  they never had anything good to say about her.

it's sad that she treats minorities so bad.

Has anybody complained about her to the wordforce commission in Austin?

Don't go with Signe Feldman

You don't want to go with Signe Feldman.  She did the same thing to me too.  "If you're not white, you don't look right" is her motto.

I can't believe Carlton Staffing would ever hire a thief.  You're a genius for discovering her information.

that's why carlton staffing keeps a person like signe feldman.

she helps save the company money by trimming down the hours you'v worked.  many staffing recruiters will do that and  i am sure it happens at carlton.  just saying.

i once had a staffing boss who cut my hours by 2 and i mentoined it to her, and she did nothing about it.

most staffing bosses don't care if you have and educatoin or not.  they will take advantage of you.
