Simply Sweet Wine TOTAL SCAM-PREYING ON PEOPLE NEEDING A JOB Austin, Texas
I went to a job interview for this "company" at what seemed to be a large respectable office building where there were a large amount of other applicants. After an extremely long wait and a short interview I was hired and told that training would begin the following Wednesday. Also, I had to pay $25 to cover the cost of an identification badge and four bottles of wine for training and was told it would be reimbursed in the first pay check.
The day before training was to begin I receive a text saying training was moved to the following week. Today I showed up to "training" only to find about 20 other people waiting. The receptionist said that the office "Curtis" was using was actually a Rental office space, and they hadn't seen or heard from him. When I called the phone number I had received the text from it had been disconnected and my emails were returned to sender. There is a website for the "company" which appears legit, but there is no contact info. A pretty elaborate SCAM!!
I looked online and found the other report about Simply Sweet Wine, and I knew we had been had!
Not only did this horrible individual RIP OFF a large amount of people, but he preyed on people desperate for work. Not only did I lose $25, which was my grocery money for the week, but I wasted quite a bit of gas driving back and forth from this place 20 minutes away, and lost two weeks that I could have been continuing the job hunt since I thought I had a job! How this man can look at himself in the mirror everyday is beyond me.
