After seeing an advertisement online for the skin care treatment Skin Royale, I ordered the 14 day trial. I ordered both the skin and eye trials at 4.95 and 5.95. After about 10 days, I noticed a charge of 85.95 and 89.95 on my bank account. I used the number from my bank statement to call the company.
I called and they told gave me a different number to call, so I did. A woman answered and asked my information. I then asked why I was billed. She stated that when I ordered I answered that question about being 18 years old and that I accepted the terms. She said in the terms that it said that if I didn't call before the 14 days, that I would be charged for and have sent to me another product.
When the trial was delivered, the only paperwork inside was a card, giving very basic instruction on the use. It did say that it could take up to one month to see results. I then wondered how in 14 days a person would know if they wanted to get more product. There was also no information about the cost of further products.
I asked for an email or phone number to speak to someone else.
She gave me one that wasn't even a valid one. So I called back and received a different rep. I began by trying to explain what had happened. He started talking over me and wouldn't even listen to me, he then hung up on me. About 5 minutes later, I received another phone call and after talking to me like I was a child, he agreed to refund my money. He said that it would take 1-4 days. I am waiting for the refund as this just happened today. I wish that I would have done some research on the company, because now that I have, I've seen that there have been many who have experienced the same thing. I guess it is a lesson learned for me!
