SMS.ac values input from customers and others. Since the focal point of SMS.ac's business is its member community, SMS.ac believes that it makes sense to solicit comments and suggestions from its customers. In fact, many of the products and services that are currently in existence were born as a direct result of customer recommendations. SMS.ac believes that effective communications are the hallmark to creating lasting relationships. And because customer relationships are so important, SMS.ac consistently fine tunes its Terms and Conditions, in efforts to be as clear as possible with regard to our policy and pricing.

EDitor's Comment: Rip-off Report Investigation:

Rip-off Report Investigation is complete: We note that with over 35 million registered members, there are only a mere 15 Rip-off Reports filed on the Company, which is an outstanding record. We commend the Company for asking us to look into these Reports with a sincere effort by the Company to satisfy any customer that might have fallen through the cracks. Not too sure what the problem could be with a money back guarantee?! With 35 million customers, and hundreds of customer service people working at the Company, we would think they would have a lot more complaints, but they don't. We all know how customer service people can be, remember they are human too :-) .

Investigation shows many of the comments made about the Company are ludicrous and were more than likely posted by competitors and should not be taken seriously. ALL BUSINESSES WILL GET COMPLAINTS, BUT HOW THOSE BUSINESSES HANDLE THOSE COMPLAINTS SEPARATES GOOD BUSINESS FROM BAD BUSINESS. As a matter of policy, when Rip-off Report is retained by a business to investigate independently and to publish our findings, we use every bit of information at our disposal to determine the truthfulness of the complaints against the company or individual... there are no guarantees as to the final outcome. Our final investigation shows that the company has demonstrated excellent customer satisfaction and has reasonably addressed all outstanding complaints. Anyone may contact me [email protected] with any questions or information. ..Also, the company has set up a special email address for those who may have a special refund request (although the regular refund procedures seem to be exemplary). The address is: [email protected]

NOW TO THE ORIGIONAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

=====================

Good Lord, i hope its not true..i started receiving sms from sms.ac since about 2 weeks ago. In a day i would receive mybe 2 or 3 sms,maybe alternately..not really sure as i have lost count but my phone was barred yesterday morning(sunday) .

I was wondering why it was so soon as my registered post paid moblie credit limit was RM 800(RM 1= USD 3.8)Tonight,9th May 05(monday) I was trying to sign into sms.ac at 8PM Malaysian Time but could not as the web site could not be found. So i used another search engine 'My Web Search' and got a list of web sites associated with the key words i entered.

I clicked on the sms.ac site but got the same reply,that the website was not available. Then i saw your the rip off site mentioning sms.ac and when i read the posted claims i then realise why I could not find the site.Malaysia really shut down the site.

I have only tried to send sms to 2 'friends' which i added when i received their request on my mobile to be my friend. i have a total of 11 friends in my acc.i was only trying the system as sms.ac said that the 1st 3 sms is free.i did not get a reply from the 'friends'.

I will go to my mobile telecommunications company to get a copy of the bill as i have not received it this month. For the record, i registered to this site not knowing that i will be charged for receiving sms(maybe i would maybe i wouldnt,dont know yet). I only know that if i send more than 3 sms i will be charged accordingly.I will tell you all if i have been charged for sms received.

After reading the claims on the rip off site, my conclusion is this: IF we are going to be charged for sms received,it should be stated at the sms.ac home page before anyone registers their mobile numbers. Thats the time when we can decide to check on the background of a website, the potential, the usefulness etc. Dont hide behind jargons, small prints, loop holes in the cyber laws or what not then we ourselves can decide whether its worthwhile to register or not.

We are talking about people who have hopes or paying hard earned money. We are also talking about kids who have to pay bills with the money they dont even have.

I dont want to say more without checking my phone bills, that would be unfair but i just like to tell that I, a Malaysian have got the info from your site and will tell more if im charged for spam..
