Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was 18 working in a local car dealership. Snap on came around first time I got on the truck pushed and pushed for me to buy this tool set that would pay for itself. Well after a few months in I was told I would need more tools. And again scammed by snap on. My bill was no at 7k. I've had the bill for 2 years. Want to know where it is now? 7k. When I tell my snap on rep to run a payment he either waits a few days or does not do it. And it's not like I'm calling at night or on a weekend it's during a week day in the middle of the day.

I have asked for a break down of the bill and have not gotten anything except my snap on receipt that makes absolutely no scene. Also at this point my brother has taken it over. My snap on dealer says it impossible without repoing it to put it in my brothers name. And my brother refuses to go to a back to get a loan. So at this point my brother continues to pay on and it goes no where. How bad would I hurt my credit if I let them repo it?

It would hurt your credit a lot

Do some research into how credit works.  Look up legitimate websites telling you about FICO scores and the elements that impact your credit report and score. FICO scores impact not only your credit but your auto insurance and other items too. A repo woud severely negatively impact your credit.

To solve your problem, get a copy of your contract with Snap-on and see what the terms and conditions are for your loan. You may have been adding in extra expenses by paying late.  Compare your actual payments with the schedule of payments you should have been making, there probably is more interest being paid if you have been late. Come up with a plan to pay this debt off and fix your credit (if the late payments are showing up on your credit).

If you don't fix it now, it will follow you for many years. Look at the default provision in your contract and the remedies by the creditor which may include a judgment against you if you fail to pay the debt in full. You don't want a judgment, it can last 10 to 20 years if you don't pay it. Judgments cost more than the original debt as they have fees and continue to accrue interest. Do your research so you know.
