All brides and grooms beware! Solis Productions is a ripoff!!! This is their MO: Once you go to a bridal show they will solicit you via email with some outstanding offers for photo, video, and lighting for your big day (DJ Services also if needed), then you will check around, compare prices and finally schedule a consultation with Solis.
They do not have an office (they use a home address as a business address) so they will ask to meet you somewhere like Starbucks, or Panera. You will sit down with them usually Santos who will charm you with his wit and keen selling ability, he will tell you what a great couple you are, how they would love to work with you but only if you want to work with them too, and he will show you pictures of other wedding and engagement sessions they've done. Then comes pricing, they start out with a large number, then you tell them your number and they slash the price until they get to a place that you can afford. He will also tell you that you will be able to meet the photographers, view their work and choose the one you would like to work with.
You'll leave the meeting feeling great, like you just got an awesome deal and Santos, oh he was so nice, genuine, and really understood the needs of a bride and groom. He will advise that he will email you a quote soon. He will email you the next day and you will pay the initial deposit of at least $1500 via credit card on their website. At this point you are elated, you can scratch one thing off of the long list of wedding day to-do's. Then something happens, something goes terribly wrong, all of a sudden Santos isn't returning your calls like he was in the beginning before you signed your contract, nor is he responding to your emails like he used to before you made your deposit! Then you decide to call the main office, after you leave several voicemails no one has the decency to call you back until two weeks later, after you asked for a refund due to a complete lack of communication. Well, guess who calls back? The owner of the company, Eddie Santos, you tell him about the lack of communication, your fears that this will happen on your wedding date and due to this you ask for a refund of your deposit.
You feel as if it is a simple request simply because you never signed a contract and you were still in the preliminary stages. Well whats Eddie's response? We cannot issue you a refund because you signed a contract. What? I never signed a contract, well the invoice from your initial payment is considered a contract. Well I have never heard of that before, then Eddie says, we can schedule your engagement session, I will give you the name and number of the photographer you've been assigned to (wait a minute, assigned to??? what happened to being able to interview and choose our photographer?) well that was never addressed. We called the photographer and had an engagement session scheduled, before we could get our pictures taken we found out Eddie Solis was fling for bankruptcy!
Rather than contact his brides and tell them directly, he decided to cut communication, not pay his photographers, which is resulting in brides and grooms being unable to obtain their photos and videos from one of the most important days of their lives! Eddie Solis and his company do not deserve to have the benefit of having a company that is involved in such an intricate part of a bride and grooms day. They are not dependable, not reliable, they trick couples into making them think they made a great decision when choosing them then cut all communication once they get your money! Brides, grooms, mother of brides, mothers of grooms, fathers of brides, fathers of grooms, maids of honor, best meant, flower girls, ring bearers BEWARE!!!!
